Also with an xpac lasting 2-3 years, with 3-4 content patches in-between, having ppl be subbed just for 1-2month after each patch - so only for ~20% of the time is not desirable.

One of the indicators of how good Dragonflight actually is, is the randomness and groundlessness of most of the complaints here.
You literally have to make stuff up.
