individual profession gearing to myth quality loot (KSH in m+)
no snowflake gear from mythic raid usable in m+
jailer like weapons from professions. I love to have effects on weapons
let mdi players cry about casuals have the same loot as them after heavy profession grinding. As casuals will never reach the 1% bracket even with BIS gear.
i must be very strange because i honestly see no value in uncapped valor unless someone is very verr push oriented.
i havent farmed 1 dungeon for valor this tier did minimum amount of dungeons on each alt and have 13 chars with average itlv close to 272 at this point. this is my 2nd to worst geared char and i have no problem to time 15-16s on it
for example i have dk who could easily jump from 269 to like 273 if i farmed valor but honestly why would i do that ? the difference in performance would be minor at best . soem here on healer - i have no problem keeping peopel alive with gear i have when they do what they are supposed to do in dungeon and getting those few itlv more wouldnt suddently make people not getting 1 shot by failing to do mechanics and then blame me-healer for not keeping them alive.
What?
Why are you calling it Snowflake gear, and why wonât it be useable in M+? Best trinkets come from RaidsâŠ
It should be M+ gear not useable not raiding.
I think, and donât quote me on this because Iâm not sure, that with DF crafters will be able to craft gear with mythic ilvl after you level up your profession and you get a certain amount of a new crafting stat.
Personally Iâd like to have a system like: best gear for M+ comes from M+ and best gear for raid comes from raid. Honestly though, I doubt that will ever happen.
Agreed. Also: Best gear for PvP comes from PvP. And Best gear for World content comes from world content (and before elitists start crying: that doesnât mean your precious raid gear isnât good for doing world content. Of course it will be good. Just not the BiS).
The time where raid gear is the best gear for any and all activities in the game should be over. Itâs a stupid archaic system thatâs just not relevant anymore.
Professions in DF can play a nice part in all of this too, because with those work orders, if you bring those soulbind required reagents, you can get that gear made. So professions can actually serve all the various activities.
It is over though sadlyâŠ
M+ gear is just as good as 10x eassier to obtain.
There are slight exceptions in this as for example the trinkets from Prototype or Gavel weapon from Jailer. But M+ has some BiS trinkets aswell in Soleah, Power crystal or changeling.
So the time off Raid Gear > M+ Gear dissapeared expansions ago.
What most of you dont realise is ALOT of the casual raiding guilds need that easier to obtain m+ gear to even stand a chance of getting curve, if you were to make it not work in raids then youâd have so many people quitting the game.
Your requests looks good imo.
Really hope they will care less about the 1% on the top this expansion and as you said focus more on the casual and âaverageâ players.
Replacement of the RNG vault with a system that will reward you with Valor/Conquest, resetting every wednesday, the amount depends on your activities of the week done.
Proper PvE gear vendor (just like how SL gave us a PvP gear vendor) to spend our new weekly Valor
Continuation of the PvP gear vendor to spend our new weekly conquest at
Gear drop chance buff to pre BFA standards (SL claiming they had to reduce droprate to make up for the reomval of rng forging was a lie, it was just to try and squeeze more months out of people through RNG, I will die on this hill)
Gear drop amount buff to pre BFA standards (see above)
Less ilvl increments from entry level to endgame level (no having to upgrade 1 piece of gear 12 times, 3 should be more then enough)
The above should make gearing a lot more deterministic again
Return to legion style world quests if world quests will see a return
Return to MoP/TBC style secondairy reputations which are not designed to all hit exalted just by doing your daily routine. Allowing for more flavour rewards that can be a bit more wacky because you have to go out of your way to get them rather then just wait until your mindless zombie grind hits the arbitrary number
More narratively driven quests, focussing on stories and exploration of dragon isles and its past.
Things to do that donât just end up becoming daily routine because Blizzard decided to tie player power into it
I wouldnât call it OP. âConvenientâ is a better description imo.
And thatâs just not true. For numerous reason that Iâve discussed over the years plenty of times and I really donât feel like getting into that yet again.
But itâs really funny you bring âneedâ up. Because the meta of WoW is based on stuff you donât âneedâ, but that just makes it faster/easier. People are demanding insane requirements for stuff that really doesnât âneedâ it. Yet many people will then call those requirements âmandatoryâ. But if that is flipped around and applied to world content, all of a sudden it isnât âneedâ anymore? Seems unfair.
Different people different goals I guess. I try harded a WL alt and pushed it through valor to fotm reroll.
At least from an alt perspective it seems okay to uncap.
Ahahaha, agree
Zereth mortis gear was a solid example! It was massive fun to do big dps when progressed in the automa talents. Super useless gear in m+ or raid but it outdamaged everything for farming rares etc.
Disagree, was never a problem till they started overtuning the raids and tuning them against full BIS gear from m+.
At first, I was like âsure, of course, but how do you define bis in world content, exactly ?â
Then I thought of things like : maybe when you wear this gear, you have increased movement speed, or other kind of boost that is appealing in world content but completely useless in other areas.
Any example ?
Other than that, one of the very important thing, imo : donât introduce broken stuff on live. Let people test it on the PTR, and if a lot of people tell you âthis is broken, this is not going to work because itâs either overpowered or underpoweredâ, then donât do it, donât pollute live with that.
If anything, have a permanent PTR where people can test anything and even maybe create their character here. And use that to speed up the hotfixes/updates. Donât be afraid of saying âwe did a mistakeâ. Weâre going to love you a lot more for acknowledging your mistakes early, instead of having to suffer like we do in SL S3.
Movement speed outdoors.
Better drop rates from rares or mobs in general.
Special jump ability like with the ZM gear - this will make the gear desirable until you can fly in those areas.
Maybe some specific procs that only work in the open world.
