Dragonflight is the most boring good expansion that they've released

It sounds weird to say tbh, looking at it objectively I think Dragonflight is doing a lot of things right. I like the raids, the profession revamp has been extremely fun, the talent trees are good, most classes are fun to play, the zones are beautiful, the music is good and dragon riding is really fun.

Despite all these huge upsides, the game is very boring. I come home from work and I get the feeling that I want to play wow. So I log into the game, I run around Valdrakken for a few minutes and then I log out because there’s nothing I really want to do. I raidlogged almost all of 10.0 and I started raidlogging 2 weeks into patch 10.1.

The game desperately needs some good casual content. We’ve had nothing like Class Order Halls, withered training, death’s of chromie scenario, brawler’s guild, pet battle dungeons, island expeditions, warfronts, horrific visions, torghast, twisting corridors, jailer’s gauntlet or the covenant mini-games.

Not all of these were great of course, but it showed their willingness to at least add in casual content and try to innovate new ways for casual players to have fun. Dragonflight has nothing besides Dragonriding races.

The story is also the most lame it’s ever been. Even Shadowlands had more interesting parts in it’s story than DF has had so far. Sire Denathrius was great, but all this dragon-drama is so dull.

M+ in a pitiful state as well. It’s been 5 weeks, tune the dungeons already… Also revert the 25% hp & dmg change you did before the season, it’s been detrimental to the pugging scene. No healers want to play anymore.

They’re at a good difficulty level . They’re not that difficult if you know what your doing and they’re not complete faceroll like the forums want

What.

I’m playing but getting declined to groups because I’m not meta. Then I watch those groups falling apart because in all likelihood they keep declining non-meta healers. “Where healers?” When they won’t invite them.

I think they do a great job in the WOW game, espeical the burning crusader . Not only is this one the best dungeon, but also the best quest.

Because you have to be pro to have an opinion on wow ?

Bar removing difficulty what would you change?

And you’re talking down on people for enjoying different aspects of the game why?

Coming from the guy, who in another thread told someone that the WoW community is so welcoming. What is wrong with you to personally attack someone for having a name you don’t approve of and who wants different things in game than you do? You are toxic.

I agree that DF misses some more casual content like Torghast or Visions.

To be fair, I really liked Torghast and I think it was one of the most cool things they did in WoW ever. It’s just the rewards tied to it and being mandatory for everyone to do it gave it bad taste and roasting from community (when in reality it didn’t deserve it). The concept of progressing towers are getting stronger as you go was really nice

I think a lot of people got used to being compelled to play. You played not because you enjoyed it, but because it was necessary to do the things you actually enjoyed: hanging out with friends on a raid night without ruining the time for everybody else.

Right? I did that for sure. So I played a lot but I wasn’t having fun. So many people complained about this, too. Phrases like chores, and active user reporting to investors come to mind.

Now this world content has to stand on its own feet and it often don’t because a variety of reasons, most of which has to do with the fact that it somehow managed to be linear and unstructured simultaneously while also having a bunch of really awful minigames like the snail race (sorry to whoever made it, it’s not good :frowning: ) and putting a lot of eggs into that basket as well as it just being a little too easy - or rather that the difficulty is nearly the same in most places only a few outliers.

that depends mostly by toxicity of the go-goers.

Don’t be funny, at least to yourself. What aspect you are talking about? Teletubbies aspects? ROFL LMAO  :joy:

World of Warcraft, from the world’s best MMORPG to a snail racing game.

Please don’t be so harsh on yourself either.

I want these back so bad. Your class’ lore should be an interactive part of the game.

class halls should have been updated each expansion to keep being our headquarters for each threat we face.

The strength of healers isnt the reason why you dont see healers in pugs anymore. Its DPS and Tanks playing like beeps and the healer has to compensate for that. They are rightfully fed up.

On top of that every pug is looking for “da meta healzor!!11!”. Pugs get what they deserve.

Completely agree! I still do Garrison events and Order Halls battles! Didn’t play during Brawler thingy but would like to experience that as well.

No really, DF is made in a way for Casual to be able to enjoy the game without putting to much effort in it. DF made it so you can easily raid log and do the bare minimum (as the strats and gear checks are very low) and still be successful.

Honestly, maybe this is fine for you, but for the many player who kept playing through Legion and BFA because they considered the evergrowing progression systems to be compelling (SL was already on DF side of the specter) now feel like there is nothing to do once they reach their initial seasonal goals.

In the first patch of DF, it wasn’t as much of a problem, since gearing up from 0 to 10 is far longer than gearing up from 10 to 12 and is much more satisfying. I then personally shifted then my crave for content on MM+ pushing, learning a new spec i never played before and max out my professions

But 10.1 did not update Professions and mine are maxed, Goals in MM+ are reached so fast since they nerfed them (Affixes changes) and Brewmaster is not new for me anymore. The only goal remaining for me is pushing over MM+20 in all keys so i have the portals (and we’re already at farming 19’s, so the goal is so close), my gear is maxed out and only wait for Weekly cache upgrade for an occasional +3ilevel upgrade. At this point (5-6 weeks into the patch), there is not much more to do.

You could say there is still many things to do in the casual side, quests, renown, events, assaults, soups… But the reward structure booted us (The ‘‘pushers’’) out by not being rewarding enough, doing it for just ‘‘the fun of doing it’’ is good for the first, second, third time, but let’s be honest, after doing it 10 times no one as fun doing the soup, the Vault and Sniff N’seek are pretty much a 1 time activity (doing the full round, which take 2-4 weeks), collecting appearances as never been easier (and so fast).

Yes, in persperctive, here’s my rant, Wow returned to it’s casual roots after 6 years pointing out at elevating their casual playerbase to become much more invested and now slowing down just feels wrong, but the game slowed down, without us.
