that is why you usually pursue a combination of content to fill out the gaps
I watched about half of the video, he is correct imo on some of the important things in Vanilla:
-
A nice, friendly community which is accessible and up for slow grouping/activities.
-
Travelling the world to gather crafting materials to make useful items for yourself or to sell is a nice way to relax and spend time.
-
Talking to people to gather for events and them being receptive to do so. The grouping being a PART of the activity and adventure.
He didn’t really mention the downsides so much:
- If trying to gather a group was enough gameplay that is ok, but if he really needed to get the bigger dungeons completed, the time required to gather, get there and finish it could take hours of time.
While in the instance, wipes were punishable by respawns
making loo breaks difficult and saving progress not an option back then sadly. This playstyle is VERY demanding on uninterrupted free time, tiring and probably frustrating at times.
- It is immersive to traverse the world slowly, but when a player needs to travel a lot frequently for repetitive tasks (which doesn’t positively incentivise travel or fit in with ‘pit stops’ for other tasks along the way) it can grate (think pointless Oribos hub flights).
I tried raiding and enjoyed seeing the new Molten Core and feeling the atmosphere and build up. There was stress about wiping as it was overly punishing losing world buffs, with walk backs and respawns if that occurred imo.
Gonna stop there for now, me and my long posts lol
You can get the highest ilevel gear from m+ currently… its always been this way lol. Raiding is not dead
You mean; the game ‘forces’ people to do other content than they actually want to do.
again who is forcing you?
only your Fomo.
I think you got quite far away from the discussion now and since you seem to not have any argument anymore you end up trying to offend me.
Well done
It’s not working.
You make a claim you get full decked 421 from M+. I explain that is not going to happen. And then your answer is you have to raid next to M+ to get this 421 decked.
I think you got no arguments and are just plain wrong.
How is saying your “Fear of missing out” is forcing you into raiding offensive?
You are free to do whatever?
I never said you have to raid… I said
Where do I say you have to do anything.
Play solo open world for all I care…
In the end, what I said in my earlier statement still is factual true even tho it will be hard.
M+ enables you to get 421 ilvl in all slots…
Raid has 2 … maybe 4 bosses that drop higher than 421 ilvl for some classes.
If you don’t want to Raid, don’t raid …
If you don’t want to M+, don’t M+ …
No one is forcing you to do anything.
Blizzard can only give the option to do so.
That guy is just trolling. He was comparing the game to work in another thread.
brb quitting my job and buying a new car with WoW loot.
So putting effort into something to get better at it is not work?
feel free to read the Definition of “Work”
I get paid for my work. Always.
M+ confirmed ENDGAME! RAIDING is DEAD!
I surely hope so
I dont raid for loot I just raid for fun with guildies we always have a laugh and raid for the entire season always.
Trinkets,Weapons with special effect, Titles. Mounts. I can think of various reasons to raid.
I don’t know this sounds like fun , just wait for Blizz fun police to change things pre-launch. Blizz wouldn’t want us to enjoy ourselves now. If it doesn’t take 10 weeks to achieve something in WoW. It’s broken in their eyes. Huge nerfs inc.
Arent last mythic bosses and vault drops like 440 ilvl?, If so its higher then 420 from +20
highest in raid is 424 with special items at 430
Most people won’t even get to +20s. Trying to do even +15s on the beta atm is a complete joke as well because people are so bad at avoiding damage.
Thats because its brand new. And peopel are doing it with classes theyre no longer used to. Same thing happened in season 1 SL.
However after a few weeks we were all fine
Not being used to classes is no excuse for standing in avoidable damage.
“OH hurr, the dragon turns around to do a breath? BEST STAND WHERE I’M STANDING”
“OH, WHAT KILLED ME?”
Like, what. This is the most basic move in the game from dragons.
but dragons should do the breath towards the tank … thats how it was always /s
