“DirectX® 12 capable 3 GB GPU”
It seems they are dropping DX11 support - you guys think the System Requirements are final at this point?
Luckily you are able to buy a GPU again - even though prices are still pretty high.

DirectX 12 is supported on the GTX 680 which released in 2012.
There is no excuse.
This is fine.
I wish they’d do a Vulkan renderer though. Oh well.
Why does that make sense though… my old PC with RTX 2060 and i5 9600k is still relatively new for some people and it gives me more FPS on Direct X 11 than 12… now it’s been 6 months since i used it, but why would they remove something that is beneficial for some people? Also i don’t know what to say about this… the fact that medium end gaming setups in 2022 run better on Direct X 11 on some games is a mystery. So blizzard or wow devs please fix the game. If someone gets more fps on an old Direct X version with a still relatively new setup you KNOW something is WRONG
Graphics cards - not GPU’s - are the price they are because early adopters are too brainless to evaluate their purchases before they make them, giving the card makers no excuse to not be more competitive out of the blocks.
Is a 3080 worth the $700 release price…? Almost certainly not.
Did droves of people flock to buy them at that price…? Of course - see above.
I use a 4K 144Hz monitor. I need it.
How many inches does it have diagonally?
I see… mine is a 32 inch Samsung G5, but it’s at 1440p i guess.
Though i’ve only got a 2060RTX card, so i couldn’t play at 4k anyway.
How much FPS you got usually?
Mine is above 100 in the open world and drops to about 60-70 during raid fights.
I’ll probably get a higher video card next year or so, if just for some stable high fps.
I mean look, part of the reason I’m doing all this is that I love Microsoft Flight Simulator and there’s a lot of really small details in that game and image quality is really core to the experience. Meanwhile in WoW, FPS is really important.
It’s really the flight sim that makes me do this.
I do machine learning stuff. Can I get a 4090 ?
Cpu requirements are also higher. For SL recommended is 6700k which is old(ish) quad core, while for DF is new(ish) six core.
Also 120gb of disc space, and current client is 80gb.
