Dragonflight release date?

November 2024 Sauce: Hidden Toilet Paper from March Space Omega Rocket Mulan Mulan.

We don’t even have an alpha and people think 2022?

Wow

Probably somewhere in 2023

They’ve said it will be ready when it’s read, I’m happy to hear this rather than trying to meet some deadline in the future and then having to cut stuff or delay.

I am not expecting it to come out until next year.

Somewhere in 2023.

This november leak is nonsense. We are getting a season 4 and they did not show “releasing 2022” as they did with wotlk. It comes Q1 2023 no question.

Lmao no, try March 2023.

Doubt as there isnt even alpha yet . We still have this and next season ahead , including pre patch.

Even if it was late november , prepatch would push it to early , maybe even mid-late october . That leaves us with 5 months for 2 seasons which is very , very very unlikely .

They need s4 to test old raids and m+ because we going to get something simillar in dragonslands

Only 4 months each? That doesn’t seem right. Be great if so but I really doubt it, sadly.

Q1 2023.

There’s no way Dragonflight will be out this year.

  • ActiBlizz already communicated to their shareholders that this year won’t have any major releases.
  • Previous WoW expansions were announced roughly 1 year before release.
  • If Blizz could deliver it this year, they wouldn’t need 9.2.5 and season 4. Season 4 will probably last from July to Q1 2023.

SL launched 2 years 3 months after BfA. Given all that’s happened internally at Blizz, I’d expect a similar gap to DF - like others predict, that’s Q1 next year.

Interesting. Source?

Speculation obviously, but Easter 2023 at the earliest

Activision Blizzard Third Quarter Calendar 2021 Results Conference Call (Nov 2, 2021)

Update on Our Pipeline
• As we have worked with new leadership in Blizzard and within the franchises themselves, particularly in certain key creative roles, it has become apparent that some of the Blizzard content planned for next year will benefit from more development time to reach its full potential.
• While we are still planning to deliver a substantial amount of content from Blizzard next year, we are now planning for a later launch for Overwatch® 2 and Diablo® IV than originally envisaged.
• These are two of the most eagerly anticipated titles in the industry, and our teams have made great strides towards completion in recent quarters. But we believe giving the teams some extra time to complete production and continue growing their creative resources to support the titles after launch will ensure that these releases delight and engage their communities for many years into the future.
• These decisions will push out the financial uplift that we had expected to see next year. But we are confident that this is the right course of action for our people, our players, and the long-term success of our franchises.

They only specifically said that Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4 won’t be released in 2022. They didn’t mention the next WoW expansion. Maybe they didn’t want to spoil the expansion announcement, or maybe they weren’t sure yet whether they would be able to achieve a late 2022 release. But they definitely highlighted that they want Blizzard’s game devs to focus on quality in 2022 and not rush any releases, so I think Dragonflight will be Q1 2023.
