Since alpha is up is there any expected date for the expantion release or leaks?

My guess would be late November because releasing during Christmas would be a logistical nightmare.

Blizzard’s workers are American. They don’t have human rights, so no need to worry.
I’d say it’ll be delayed to January or February, though.

probably before christmas or after new year, is my guess.
i definitely will not be playing the first few days, as i already know the lag will be crazy, and the Europeans usually start a bit later than the Americans.
Wonder if we get the same fiasco with Shadowlands where they gave a release date, people booked time off work and then delayed the release upsetting plenty of folks.

Do people still buy physical copies or the normal, non-collector’s edition? I’d imagine most people buy WoW digitally these days.
I don’t think pressing video games on DVD/BluRays is affected by the pandemic though. AFAIK all retail games made it to the physical stores on time. E.g. I bought Gran Turismo 7 a few months ago in a physical store on release day.

Digital but the logistical nightmare part is needing people to work at a launch during Xmas.
They’ll be done before the 24th of December. I’m sure most of the WoW team will be able to take time off until New Year.
I bet they’ll release the game in mid December and open up the raid at the start of 2023.
