Hello. I’ve been playing WoW on my 2019 iMac since BFA. I set general graphic levels to 5 and it just works fine.
Now that Dragonflight increased minimum requirements significantly, I’m curious if I would be still able to play WoW on this computer. Here is my specs:
Processor: 3 Ghz 6-Core Intel i5
Memory: 8GB
Graphics: Radeon Pro 560X 4GB
Storage: 1TB Fusion Drive
Render distance increases but on lower quality settings it decreases thus WoW should run but you won’t get all the extra visual effects of the expansion. This iMac is sort of bit above “minimal requirements”.
- RAM: check if you can add another 8G

The Fusion drive is not a true SSD. I would look at purchasing an external Thunderbolt SSD as your primary drive and booting / running from that. This would help a great deal.
I’m guessing you have the 21.5" iMac from that year - if so the RAM is not user-upgradeable. It is possible - iFixit estimate it’s a 2 hour job - but it’s complex and I’d probably want an Apple Service Provider or similar to do this job for me.

Hey!
These are the minimum requirements for Dragonflight, and unfortunately it appears that the listed specs here do fall short of said requirements in a few aspects. That doesn’t automatically mean that the game won’t work at all, but performance and stability will likely be very limited - and if things do go wrong, we won’t really be able to help out.
