i hope “just give them another sinful brand” isnt how u plan to deal with DH. Thats defo how it looks like atm when DH is the last class left behind, all classes have talents like for a month allrdy other than monk that just got em recently…
Hi, the spam filter deleted TWO of my feedback topics so I have no choice but to reply to the most relevant topic for now, sorry for hijacking this, but let me know if you agree with this:
These are the points I mentioned:
- Sinful Brand gameplay acts like having a pet constantly attacking on the target, allowing you to do other stuff without a huge dps loss, as long as you maintain it. I think this is great for a Melee class with high mobility, and gives us a lot of room to breathe during fights. Removing this gameplay will make Demon Hunter very button mashy without any thought or consequence to certain actions! It will make you ignore mechanics a lot more for “higher dps” aka you will try harder for DPS than you currently do.
- There are huge consequences to dropping your Sinful Brand which is actually a good thing, making this class more challenging to play, whilst having a high damage return. This in turn makes Eyebeam a life saver and much more meaningful than a burst of damage.
- The changes to Cycle of Hatred in Dragon Flight Alpha are a step in the right direction (removing RNG, 1sec for Chaos Strike, 2sec for crit) but I feel this change is TOO consistent. I suggest making it only happen on Annihilation.
- Sinful Brand needs a way to be placed on multiple targets easier, either through buffing Metamorphosis’s CD in some way through Fury Spent or another way (like the current T4), or through making a new talent that makes Death Sweep cause Sinful Brand’s CD to drop (1sec for each target, giving us more priority target damage in large pulls without meta at least), thus making it so Demon Hunter has more buttons to press including in Single Target (i.e. the choice between reducing the CD of Eyebeam, but that won’t save a Brand if the Eyebeam has recently been used, or to reduce the CD of Sinful Brand, making a refresh happen sooner, buying 8 seconds more time for Eyebeam CD reductions through CoH [Cycle of Hatred] to add duration)
Im hoping the reason DH has taken so long to develope is because blizzard have reliesed after SL that DH needs alot of work
And people are bored of this super easy annoying build and will double down on factors which introduce a new playstyle beyond it.
DH is such a cool fantasy. But its stuck in one of the most boring ways of showing it.
They deleted one of the most interesting speccs in the game (old demonology) for it,
Why not take a hint and give DH that mechanic.
It should be soon. These changes look great so far, less rng with demon blades and momentum seems even better + the hunt. I just hope we can pick demonic, momentum and the hunt at the same time ie that we will not have to sacrifice one in order to be able to take the other and so on.

The only thing I don’t like is demonic origins. Meta should be 2 min cd baseline, 2.5 at the most. Or they could add some passive as part of meta cd, something like sl 4 set, which will reduce cd (I’d hate to see something like that as a completely separate talent).
I honestly don’t agree with your points.
Sinful Brand isn’t making the class more challenging, it makes it boring. Spamming 2 buttons to reduce EB’s CD in order to increase SB’s duration. I switched to ToR with FB and Darkglare to get rid of that boring playstyle now this is more challenging, since it does consistent AOE dmg, not as much as a SV or Destro, but more bcz you don’t have to wait 3 min for Meta again to spread some dot and the satisfaction you get while gambling with EB is so good.
I honestly hope in Dragonflight we will not have to deal with this playstyle, maintaining some whatsoever DoT in order to do an insufficient amount of damage with it.
We actually need consistent changes to the class, because it’s too much RNG in the game anyway, through trinkets and the ifs “behind the target you have a chance” or “has a chance/high chance/very high chance to proc somewhat” or etc.
DHs should be able to do more and that’s a fact. Another fact is the ignorance we got this expansion. Unbelievable.
Regarding this, if people ignore mechanics to do damage, will lose damage, that’s a fact also, since wipes and deaths will happen; smart ones will always do the right thing.
Dropping sinful brand has, like you said, huge consequences, because once dropped, you’ll lose a lot of damage and not regaining it back anytime soon.
The changes on Meta and EB look awful. They had no reason to reduce haste since we already had diminishing return after 30%. It’s not like we BLASTED or something during META, and I am pretty sure they wont do something like Demonic and Momentum on the same row.
The only decent changes are:
Demon Blades - Your auto attacks have a 60% chance to deal additional Shadow damage and generate 7-12 Fury.
Cycle of Hatred - When Chaos Strike refunds Fury, it also reduces the cooldown of Eye Beam by 3 sec. Chaos Strike also reduces the cooldown of Eye Beam by 1 sec, and an additional 1 sec when it critically strikes.
and EB doing less damage beyond 5 targets, not secondary.
Well i honestly prefer any build over Sinful brand.
If Sinful brand was a thing since DH release, i’d never roll one.
I agree with your suggestions about changing Sinful brand and making it easier to spread etc. those are great if we we’re forced to stick to Sinful Brand.
We arent tho, can just remove the whole ability from the game and make DH, DH again.
Nah SB has to go, I rather quit DH than play SB in 10.0. Either SB is going to be BiS for something, or it’s going to be absolutely horrible.
SB need to get buried, I changed class this season purely because I’m sick of playing it. It does the majority of damage so if it falls off we do zero dps, and outside of meta chaos strike does pitiful damage too.
sinful brand is simply not fun for me, i’d rather have legion chaos blades and that red thing (2min cd with 1 min doing extra dps on marked target.) back, simply anything burst related except venthyr which feels horrible.
if they do keep it WW is looking fun for me again, and there’s always rogue.
they could do nothing better for dh right now than to remove sb. it’s like havoc bfa + 1button…they should take this change to give us 1-2 new/old cds+1-2 new buttons.
otherwise that talent tree is gonna be filled with passives…which i expect unfortunately.
thankfully, DHs finally shown talent tree doesnt have it… and actually looks Really good. its close to making me want to roll one.
Tree is super crazy, idk which path is better in havoc tree, gonna be fun test it all out
I do kinda wish momentum was baseline to ensure its not going to phase out with meta, i feel it just made the class alot more active and really emphasis on its mobility centric gameplay.
i wish chaotic transformation was baseline, its not THAT strong to be onbottom, but i swear the class feels so clunky without it
