On just one character - my main! - the dragonriding action bar that usually appears in Bar 1 when I mount does not appear so I can’t use any of the extra abilities eg Whirling Surge. I cannot add anything other than Aerial Halt from the DR menu to my bars. There is nothing on Bar 8 which is apparently where they reside when not mounted. All my other characters work fine. Any ideas?

You may have inadvertently switched flight mode from Dynamic to Steady, which essentially disables Skyriding in favor of the classic flying method.
To revert back to Skyriding, you can find a specific ability in a couple of different places:
- In the Mounts tab of the Warband collection. At the top of the panel you should see a “Skyriding” note near a button, click on it and one of the two abilities you’ll get should be “Switch Flight Style”.
- In the Spellbook, General Tab.
Click on the Skyriding button to bring up all the related abilities, and one of them - the last one - should be “Switch Flight Style”.
Press said “Switch Flight Style” ability (you can also move it on your action bars if you prefer to keep it readily available for future use) and you should switch back to Skyriding within a couple of seconds

Trying opening your spellbook and adding the abilities from there by dragging the icons.
