Dragons in WoW and HotS

Red dragonflight is dps, yet Alexstrasza is a healer in HotS. Bronze dragonflight is healing and (soon enough) support, yet Chromie is dps in HotS…

Interesting facts, I guess.

Why is that interesting?

Cause its interesting to see how little Blizzard care about consistency sometimes

Have you ever considered that they are both?

Red Dragonflight is about life in WoW. Fire is warmth as well as destruction. Where fire consumes, it also paves the way for new life to rise from the ashes. The spark of life is all that is needed. The heat to grow and flourish. We tamed fire and our civilizations flourished. The heat of passions can bring wonders as well as cause clashes that leave the world reeling.

Bronze Dragonflight is about time in WoW. Time heals all wounds, yet time will also claim us all. It is the inevitable march that will lead to our deaths. Also, sand fricking hurts if thrown with enough force - would score the flesh off your bones. We’re all connected to it. We all have our allotted time. For some it is comforting. For others, it is something to rail against. We age with time, growing wiser. Wisdom can be both benevolent and malicious as we move forward with experience.

Black Dragonflight is all about having a main “bad guy dragon” scapegoat, but also about the fundamental elements of Azeroth in WoW. The earthy ground cradles the basis of life and has the strength to shield us from harm. Drop a rock on someone’s head or dip them in magma, and they ain’t getting up.

Blue Dragonflight is about knowledge and the monitoring of magic in WoW. Knowledge can lead to experience and that can save lives. So can magic, when the writers need it to. Knowledge also kills. Either innocence, cats or us as we learn new ways of beating the :poop: out of each other.

Green Dragonflight controls the natural world of WoW. They are all about the natural cycle of the perfect template. They are the wardens of the dream. Dreams bring hope and confidence to forge ahead. Dreams can also turn into nightmares - both raising our fears or showing us the futility of waking to a world that will never live up to the greatness of the one we walk in while we sleep.

When I play Heroes of the Storm Chromie is a goblin or a genie. Alexstrasza is undead and uses necrotic magic. Jaina is a dreadlord (or dreadlady?) and Uther runs around in power armour.

And that means absolutely nothing since the game is entirely non-canon.

Maybe all dragons are getting an extra spec?

And this is where you’re wrong.

Because the red dragonflight cares about Life - that doesnt mean they cant deal damage as well.

Chromie also has ‘‘Time Stop’’ in HotS, as well as the ‘‘Slow movement sand thing’’, which would fit in supporting your team - while also dealing damage.

Black dragons can use Earth to protect, ward, and defend - but they can also use Fire, Lava, Magma etc to deal devastating damage.

Just like Green dragons can heal, rejuvenate - as well as use toxic/poison breaths etc.

Listen here, lady, logic isn’t allowed on the internet!
