Dragonwrath Legendary - problem with initial quest

Hello!

I wanted to start the quest for the legendary weapon Dragonwrath (Firelands).
As far as I’ve read about it, one needs to have the achievements for Bastion of Twilight, Blackwing Descent and Throne of the Four Winds as well as kill a Molten Lord in the Firelands raid.
So, I did all of that. Yes, I did it on this character I want to do the quest with (Shaman).
But neither did the quest pop up upon killing the Molten Lord, nor did Coridormi in Stormwind hand the quest over. All I get from her is the quest for the Endtime.

I wrote a ticket, telling Blizzard this exact stuff, and the answer I received was:
“We can’t tell you what went wrong, it’s part of the game to play and discover what you need to do.”
Then I was given a link to a guide for this quest line, which contained the requirements I listed above and which I already fulfill.
I assume the Gamemaster went for an early April Fool’s joke, so I hope I can get some hints from you guys as to what I need to do if the intended way doesn’t work. :slight_smile:

You definitely don’t need to meet those requirements. On a fresh character with zero Cata raids done, I killed a single Molten Lord right after I entered in FL 25HC, and got Your Time Has Come with no problems.

I also tried picking up A Legendary Engagement on an another ground zero character, and while I have the Defender of a Shattered World account-wide achievement earned, I couldn’t pick it up. So I proceeded to go into FL 10N, killed the first Molten Lord, and I got the quest Your Time Has Come successfully, which is the precursor for A Legendary Engagement.

Check your quest log for Your Time Has Come in the Molten Front quest tab, and make sure your quest log is not full, abandon a single quest if you are not sure.

If none of the above works, maybe you could have already started the quest line sometime before, without knowing what it exactly was, so I would check Anachronos in the Caverns of Time too.

A quick update.
First of all, thank you very much Nihil, your comment did in fact deliver an important hint.
I received another answer from a GM, who told me that I appearently begun the quest years ago (I can’t remember at all…), and that the next step for me is starting at Coridormi in Stormwind for the quest that leads me into the Caverns of Time to speak to Anachronos.
I mean, I visited Coridormi at least a dozen times in the last 48 hours, and I wasn’t suprised to see that she doesn’t have anything new for me right now. Even Anachronos won’t give me any quests.
And no, my quest log is not full either, but I thought “Hey, if the quest pops up in the Molten Front section as Nihil said, maybe I have to unlock it first.”
So I took the time to do the quests in Mount Hyjal until I was able to unlock the Molten Front, which I have done by now. And you won’t believe it: All of a sudden, Coridormi had the quest I was looking for. I tried to accept it, and received a system notification that I don’t meet the requirements for this quest.
I relogged, and the quest was gone. Not in my log, not at Coridormi, not at Anachronos, and killing a Molten Lord in FL doesn’t do anything either.
I really don’t know what to do now. Another ticket is waiting for a response, but at this point I don’t expect any useful information from the GMs anymore.

Edit: I tried to do this entire thing with my mage, who never saw any raids or unlocked the Molten Front. I went straight into FL25hc, killed the first Molten Lord and the quest popped up. So I went to Stormwind to hand it in at Coridormi, but I didn’t receive a following quest. Stuck once more.

Yeeep I am also stuck on my Warlock and have done all the things you have. Must be a bug…

Did you submit a ticket already, Fezreal? And if so, what did the GMs tell you?

I tried it again, this time on a 100 Draenei Shaman, who is also bare-bones, and it still worked fine for me, so it can’t even be your race/class combo bugged. I don’t have a 120 alliance char to check that scenario, but seems unlikely.

If none of your characters work, it must be something on account level, which is still strange, considering you seem to have most Cataclysm related stuff unlocked. I never ever did anything in Molten Front past unlocking it. And even then, it really shouldn’t have these random requirements.

Probably a very obscure bug, I would keep escalating the ticket until I got a more direct response about this ‘you don’t meet the requirements’ error.

While waiting, you could try changing your specialization from Elem to Enhancement, and try picking up the quest from Coridormi again.

It seems like we found the solution.
I received another answer for my latest ticket, and the GM told me that there is in fact something wrong with the quest line. It appears to be a bug. The GM started the quest for me now, I hope I can continue it as intended… at last.
All these difficulties were a legendary quest line itself. :smiley:

Glad to hear it was fixed, things can get messy after a patch. :confused:
Let’s hope it’s gonna work fine from now on, and you get lucky with the drops. :stuck_out_tongue:

I was able to do the following quests without any problems, yeah.
As for the drops… well, let’s not talk about it. :>
