Druid changes

How do u other druids feel? i mained guardian this xpack instead of feral for obvious reasons, been feral in all other xpacks i was active with legion being my best, now i see our cc is gonna be linked to affinities so i cant use typhoon with resto affinity and forced to use vortex? if i play feral again im forced to use typhoon instead of vortex if i use balance affinity? or am i reading wrong?

Didn’t read other cpec,but guardian is heavily nerfed.
Barkskin from 12 to 8 seconds duration
Frenzied regen from 32 to 18% healing
And we suffered the most from Legion to Bfa transition,and now another round of nerfs :neutral_face:

frenzied regen also increases our heals taken so gota see if nerf or buff tbh

Honestly from what I’ve seen so far overall made me wanna play this boi in Shadowlands. For now I am rerolling to druid from DH, but maybe I will change my mind later. I don’t care much about balancing as long as the class/spec is not unplayable since I am casual as hell. I have friends to play with so some m+ won’t be a problem for me even tho the driud won’t be the best class in the history of history.

itt horde druids larping as something horrible will happen to them when they have 24/7 100+ groups to choose from. 200+ if healer or tank

Im going to be following how feral is changing and hopefully they restore our talents more a less to how it was. I still blieve that sabertooth doesnt belong in lvl 15 talenst as u use lunar inspiration for single target and predator for aoe fights. since the change ur using sabertooth for all situations.

Affinities are terrible, most of the abilities in there should be baselined.

What if I want Rejuvenation, Moonfire and Ursol’s Vortex? What if I want Frenzied Regeneration, Rejuvenation and Typhoon?

Grouping up a bunch of different types of abilities (heals/survivability/ranged), where most of it used to be baseline, like this and then adding utility ( + passive utilty perks) to the package is just horrible and never makes you feel good (don’t even have to add utility into the package, you still feel bad).

You’re always missing out on something that you used to have because you’re constantly forced to pick other affinities over the the one you want, even if you don’t want to, because something (often just a small part) in those affinities are making them mandatory for that specific encounter/comp.

i wouldnt say affinities are bad just dont tie them to our other abilities no?

As far as Feral is concerned, the suggested and data mined changes are … underwhelming to put it mildly. Despite going on about unpruning, Feral looses much more than it gains. My only hope is that substantial positive changes to Feral are yet to come.

our cc talents are getting tied to affinities so there are possibly some new talents replacing them so need to see

HotW is nerfed and shares a talent row with Mighty Bash (i.e. dead talent in all PvP content). So that’s nothing.

Mighty Bash is nerfed (1sec shorter duration, 10sec longer CD). That’s a loss.

Barkskin makes a comeback, but we lose Survival Instinct. That’s a net loss.

Sabertooth still stays. Bloodtalons looks even more clunky than before (to be seen) and way more powerful (i.e. mandatory).

Affinity passive perks (and Frenzied Regen) still lock us out of Rejuvenation and Swiftmend (which is getting changed so no clue what’s happening there), things that used to be baseline, and the new utilities.

Incap Roar, while interesting, DRs with both Poly and Freezing Trap making it unviable in half the Feral comps (but since it’s on Guardian Affinity it will still be a forced pick).

Powershifting is still gone. LotP is still not baseline. Hibernate is still not on Predatory Swiftness. Stampeding Roar & Dash still doesnt remove roots/slows (there’s a PvP talent for Stampeding Roar, but it’s not a viable pick).

Yeah it looks real bad for Feral, PvP.

8.0 feral as it just lost its weapon was fine imo, just needed some energy for aoe and it would be fine. waiting 2 to 3 sec to use a bite seriously bugs me.

Pulverize A devastating blow that consumes 2 stacks of your Thrash on the target to deal (96.9306% of Attack power) Physical damage and reduces all damage you take by 9% for 20 sec.reduce the damage they deal to you by 20% for 10 sec.

I like some changes like this because it means they will touch some spells like this but overall i dont know what to say. We will see when we try.

that seems like only the target that u use it on will deal less damage right?

Yes. I mean its good to see they’re trying improve unusable/low tier talents. But we need more for sure.
