Druid fun specs

hello. im levelling actually some classes tryin the ones i never choose in the past to reach all the heritages.
Now is druid turn. Im a dps and i levelled til 55 the balance one. Is interesting but i would like to try somethin different.
In terms of FUN only (dont care to be superman in low level dungeons) how do you rate feral and balance?

As a feral, if you enjoy Rogues, you’ll probably enjoy Feral, since they both basically follow the same pattern.

I recently finished leveling my Zandalari Druid to 120. It’s been quite a long time since I last leveled a Druid. And I have to say, it was s**t no matter which spec I played. It only really started to be fun around Draenor / Legion.

I tried Feral for leveling too. But that was even worse. So I would recommend sticking to Balance for leveling. And it’s only 25 more levels until you get an actual interrupt and don’t need to face-tank every single spell mobs throw at you. And yes, I know about Typhoon or the same row stun, but these are not real interrupts.

Anyway, sorry for the rant. Just a little salty after suffering through it. But stick to Balance and enjoy Druid when it reaches 120. Very fun to play then.

It’s a matter of preference.

I currently play Balance (and Resto) as my main spec(s), because Balance excels in M+ currently, which is what I spend the most time doing. I enjoy Feral more, but even though I have good gear for that spec also, it’s inferior in terms of damage and utility. There are better melee options right now. (I played feral in Legion and there too were better melee options for M+, but the gap wasn’t nearly as wide as now.)

As for leveling, eh, I’d probably go feral because I love running around as a kitty. Since Balance doesn’t excite you, just try feral and see how it goes. Except for the weapon and the trinkets, the gear works for both specs (not ideally, but it doesn’t matter for leveling).

In terms of fun only, like you asked, i prefer feral over balance (even both are nice specs). For me fun is mobility, stealthing, timing the bleeds and buffs right and also having wide array of supporting spells to save sticky group situations (battle resses, heals etc.). It gives lot of variety for the play which i find fun. You should try if you like it, swapping specs especially when leveling is so easy and you lose nothing for trying.:smile:

For leveling killing mobs one by one Feral is way faster in my experience and I’ve leveled druids in both factions.

Also did 110-120 as Guardian in my Alliance druid and I gotta say it was superfast. Just pull the entire quest, and its basically impossible to die. If ur using warmode as well with claws and alpha challenge you get some neat extra dps as well. Was a pretty smooth experience overall.

He forgot to mention the most important aspect of BFA leveling as druid. You have to choose best looking spec/forms for those selfies for marketing brochure quests!

oh god… with my fire mage the best part was to run from the mobs i pulled inadvertently with the fire spells!

Yeaaaah me also not sure if those vacations are selling any faster with that picture of my poor character being attacked by that angry elk that i was supposed to take selfie with… :rofl:

Feral still suffers from energy starvation. You will have a lot of free time where you dont have buttons to press.
If youre fine with that, then Kittie is kinda fun. Although leaps and bound less fun then the other energyclasses

Yeah, Ferals are just discount Rogues right now with less damage. Needs an overhaul for sure. Balance can be fun especially if you play with New Moon.

I confess yesterday tried my ally druid. The choice was made: is Boomkin. And ive understood the rotation (that is an incredible thing)

I’ve been having fun as a resto druid mainly because it feels…like a druid.

You toss out heals to keep people toped and use any downtime to catweave and help with damage

Stealth alone makes feral more fun for me to level with. That’s subjective of course, but if I were to choose between balance and feral, it would be feral by a long shot.

If I were given the option to choose any druid spec, it would be bear, just because I can pull so much and not die. ^^
