Just saw the update on wowhead, cool new legendaries for all specs, except feral, who got more burst damage.
Remind me why blizzard hates feral so much again? Why can’t we just be allowed to be a rot class? Why does blizzard want feral to be a worse version of rogue so badly?
I dont get what are they trying to do with feral…
I would be so much better if the legos helped the areas that feral lacks like aoe oriented with primal wrath and swipe, but no, just more into bites.
Guess we needed more single target damage
I would assume the one that makes your bleeds tick 25% faster will help quite a bit: basically, if you Rip a large number of targets via Primal Wrath, you get a significantly higher amount of your DOT damage to tick before overwriting it.
The one giving you free bites from Rip ticks might also be nice in AoE, depending on how the proc chance scales if you have multiple rips active.
The one that boosts your affinity and gives you 15sec of HotW once per minute also sounds like it could be quite powerful.
To be honest, I don’t really understand the gloom about the (Feral) legendaries (and I generally like to moan a lot about the state of Feral!). At least at first glance I think they could be quite powerful.

The problem is that Blizzard just keeps making Feral about bite, spam bite, SPAM BITE HARDEEEERRRRRRRR
Our Bleeds dont do any damage, Rip does less damage than a passive proc dot that rogues have to do 0000000000000000 to apply. Whats the point? Is the entire god damn spec just ferocious bite now?
Feral is supposed to be a ROT class, our dots are supposed to be 75% of our damage. They should fix the class
Well that is definitely true at the moment but consider this: SL Rip gets a 12.5% increase in damage. Now add 30% from the single target legendary, 20% from Necrolord ability, boost from Tiger’s Fury and Bloodtalons. Also, since damage from corruptions and essences will be gone, Rip damage is going to make up a bigger part of our damage (relatively speaking).
We really need to see how all this plays out eventually but I have a feeling that, if you focus on it, you may be able to get your bleeds to hit pretty hard, at least on boss fights (or a single enemy in PvP).

Not impressed with the balance druid ones. Oneths intuition will not be as good as people think. Starfall doesn’t stack, so if you already have a starfall out, it will feel weird to get the free proc.
The arcanic pulsar is just a nerfed version of the azerite trait from BFA. With our AP generation being so slow, this one is really sub par compared to what other specs got.
What we really should have gotten was something like ‘‘Ashamanes Bite’’ from the artifact weapon from legion, our damaging abilities have a chance to duplicate our rip on the target.
That is the class fantasy of feral druid, not spamming shred and bite.
Anybody have any idea how many combo point generators per minute a Feral druid might use? Feels like the 0.2s CD reduction won’t be that great, but I might be wrong.
ADD: Tried to answer that myself. I ran a QuickSim on Raidbots for 1min. In that time, I cast 30 Shred and 4 Rake for a total reduction of Berserk’s cooldown of (brace yourself) 34*0.2 = 6.8 seconds. So the CD is probably going down to something like 2min30sec at best. It is not going to be legen- wait for it-dary.
Still, Incarnation: King of the Jungle with the new stealth modifiers for Shred and Rake plus this Legendary would mean pretty serious Feral burst for 30seconds every 3minutes.
I wonder, though: if I shred a target and the legendary makes it bleed for 8seconds and then I shred again within these 8 seconds. Do I create a second bleed? That would be awesome. But if it simply overwrites the first Shred bleed… that would suck.
Berserk Leggendary for feral has some potential, but since our combo point generators does very low dmg … it wont be good at all … especially at the start when energy starvation is a thing.
Berserk should be buffed with something to make it decent baseline and then the leggendary might be good. Maybe add a 15% crit or vers during the 15secs of Berserk. Tbh since incarnation gives some crit … maybe baseline Berserk could have some crit modifier.
The bleed works liek this : “If you do 4k with shred, 2k is in the pool. it does 250 per tick, after 1 second you have 1750 left in the 7 second dot. You press shred again, do 4k again, 2k more is added to the pool now it does 450 per tick”
And also ppl reporting that rake is bugged and it adds only the initial dmg to the berserk bleed. It should also add the dot ticks dmg into the bleed …
There are two general Druid legendaries that provide significant buffs to bleeds. Except for the one that provides a minuscule cooldown reduction for our oh-so-amazing Berserk, Feral legendaries look pretty strong in my opinion.
The first one would be good if it had another condition but ‘‘only if its on one target’’
Imagine you’re in arena and youre training a guy, then you go to refresh Thrash on him and the enemy healer just happens to walk into range of you = legendary is now offline for 15 seconds

Yes, that one is probably meant for raid boss encounters without (much) adds. Thrash is not affected by it though, so the scenario of the healer stepping into range would only apply if you used primal wrath.
Why? I didn’t play when it was a thing but it seems a substantial buff to our bleeds to me. Particularly considering that primal wrath is not target capped.
You seem to be talking about PvP, though, so we may have very different scenarios in mind.
