[DRUID] Need help with wildcharge

Hello, sorry in advance if this is the wrong place to ask this.

I’m looking for a macro to be used on Vuhdo that uses it’s non shapeshifted form on an ally when i press the key on vuhdo.

i tried:

/cancelaura Moonkin Form
/cancelaura Bear Form
/cancelaura Cat Form
/cast Wild Charge

it does cancel the forms, any form i’m at, but doesn’t teleport me…

any ideas?

What’s this sorry?

You tried adding an [@] on the wild charge?

Outside of forms, you need to target someone to use Wild Charge.

Anything that requires two GCD’s generally cannot not be put in macros, unless you’re ok with pressing your macro button twice.

Canceling form does not incur a GCD so technically it should work but i tried the macro without Vuhdo and i can’t even seem to get it to work without the addon so I’m not sure if it is possible to put this in a macro. Weirdly enough though, manually cancelling form and quickly use wild charge to a friendly target does seem to work like intended. Very curious as to why this fails in a macro.

You can just use /cancelform btw instead of /cancelaura current form.

Could it be because there’s 3 /cancelaura in a row that screws it up?

Good question but no, i tried it with 1 /cancelform, same result.

Just tried the macro on a trial, and it worked. I had to click it twice - aura cancelled, then click again for the Charge.

Only change I did with the macro was:

#showtooltip Wild Charge
/cancelaura Moonkin Form
/cancelaura Bear Form
/cancelaura Cat Form
/cast Wild Charge

And the GCD does activate by cancelling the aura.

Yeah it worked for me too when pressing twice but you shouldn’t have to press it twice because there’s only one spell that requires a GCD. Pressing it twice is the reason it doesn’t work for him in Vuhdo.

No than you haven’t been paying attention properly because cancelling form does not incur a GCD.

I looked at the ability, the typical ‘‘black swirl’’ thing happened when I left the form.

However, I have no memory of this happening before.

Bro, i have been playing Druid since forever, i know what I’m talking about. Cancelling form does NOT incur a GCD. Test it for yourself by manually cancelling form and manually Wild Charge to a friendly target. You’ll notice that you can instantly WC to that friendly target which isn’t possible if cancelform was on the GCD.

The only CD swirl you get is from either WC or the swirl to go to the same form again which does have a CD (or shifting to another form which also uses a GCD) but that’s not the subject of this thread. Cancelling form does not incur a GCD and you can use any ability, except for the same form, INSTANTLY after using canceling form.

Ah - this is what I saw then.

I am just a big dummy. :rescue_worker_helmet:

Well it is confusing and maybe the cause this macro doesn’t work (although unrelated to macro itself).

Before shifting was off the GCD years ago, good old times, at one point they implemented this same form CD because when your were in Cat form for example and you got rooted in PvP, you could simply press a macro that got you out of the root whilst staying in the same Cat form, which was fun for the Druid but pretty broken. Nowadays you can naturally still shift roots but you have to fully go to another form for that.
