Each of the Druid's damage, healing spells and auto attacks has a chance of causing the caster to enter a Clearcasting state
On the current beta, it seem Omen Of Clarity can only proc from Feral autoattack.
Also, it seem to have a very low proc chance on Lifebloom.
It should proc from all healing spells and all ability even if they do no damage like Faerie Fire, but count as offensive damage ability. So that you can push your buttons as Feral if you have no energy and no cooldown to sparse, to try to force a proc.
Mark Of The Wild
Gift Of The Wild (the proc chance is multiplied by the amount of players you buff so that 25 players buffed has a very high proc chance)
Faerie Fire.
Nature grasp.
Autoattack.
All damage abilities.
All healing spells.
This ability to “force” Omen Clarity proc by spending lot of mana and using Gift Of Wild, is a key aspect of the Feral in WOTLK since the Wolfshead Helm is not usable in WOTLK.
I don’t have beta access myself so I can’t post on beta forum, but it seem something that come from lot of youtube videos. if someone can test it, would be nice.
Currently, it is a massive reduction of the skillcap of Feral Druid and a global nerf of Druid in general, especially Feral DPS.
Omen will only proc on the initial Attack/Heal. It used to be on every tick of stuff but it was so OP it got fixed really really fast as Boomies could Hurricane 24/7 witout break.
If things don’t change, and omen gets nerfed, I will end my subscription, no doubt. Why would you even nerf a class that was extremely underrepresented until now? Why take all the skill-cap needed to play feral? It makes absolutely no sense, and I really hope it is just a bug that will get fixed. Please keep us updated!
This is heart breaking and nerf Feral giga hard in PvE. Better reroll a DK I guess because it nerf AoE and single target DPS, others classes can press 3 buttons without thinking about anything.
Players from private server played for a decade with this Omen Of Clarity script. This increased skill cap and make Feral viable in competitive scene.
You’ll start to understand what I mean when you are energy starved with a Swipe that cost 50 Energy. You’ll spend your life waiting for energy, while Rogue have energy proc on the menu. Feral is now a subpar Rogue honestly.
On private server, we would use Gift Of The Wild to spend our mana and 1 GCD to force OOC proc by x25. This is usefull when you have no energy but you can still do something to push your damage and try to do better by forcing a proc (and as Feral, you spend most of your time with no energy).
This is sad, but I guess it’s not gonna change anyway. Dev already told us their opinions. Expect to have 2 or 3 Omen Of Clarity proc per minutes, that’s all.
amarathTESTER at the bottom of the github thread links a bunch of videos from back in the days, showing how it should function, and it seems OOC is nerfed to the ground now from beta videos…
It really amazes me how they arrive at the conclusion above in the github thread, to not change anything, even with all the old video material to show how it should function… I wonder if they just cba anymore.
