im planning on using my 120 shadowlands boost on either of these classes and im unsure which one to boost. i was wondering which are the most viable tank and dps out of those 2.
I do not understand what you mean by historically, but every class has atleast one spec that works every expansion and can compete. If you are solely intrested in tanking, probably druid, cause dk tank right now seems bad after the armor nerf. As a druid aniway, you have 4 specs to choose, atleast one is garaunteed to be great. As dk, its one tank 2 dps specs, and they usually have ups and downs.
For 95% of us, any tank spec/class is a perfectly viable option.
I would really recommend picking one, based on which play style you like, not on performance.
Personally i like the DK play style more than Druid, but like Frosty said, Druid does have more interesting offspec options healing, mdps and rdps vs 2x mdps for DK.
When it comes to the DPS spec, you may suffer from a massive amount of competition for slots in Mythic+ or Raid groups (if you’re into that sort of content, and intend to pug).
In that case favored classes tend to have an easier life than others, but i think it’s likely too early to say what will become favorable in the next Expansion.
If you enjoy your tank spec though, you’ll always have an easy way to get around this problem, and get a quick group, by using the tank (or heal) spec.
I’d also consider that, if you eventually plan on having alts of both these classes, DK’s currently have a significant headstart when leveling, starting at level 55. You could consider leveling a DK from 55 up (with the fancy new buff and all), and using the Boost on a Druid.
dont know about dps but blood looks godlike in SL so far!
Yet you should wait for using your boost until SL comes and be 100% sure!
