Druid or hunter?

i mean i wont say highest, but it for sure has high skill ceiling. the funny thing is, it also has one of the lowest skill floor and its very easy to do well in pve with it currently

druids are bis tanks, but they suffer the same fate as rogue tanks. nobody trusts them untill they have experianced an actually good one, and both are a small minority of tanks

We’re not talking about the max skill level, we’re talking about fresh players, new people that haven’t played the game before.

Hunter is the easiest class for them to learn the game on. This is a hill that I will die on, no other class offers the same level of safety-of-play as the hunter.

I keep telling them that, but it seems hunter players just can’t read.

Try playing any kind of shaman, will be more difficult than your current class

Not Hunter. Only pure DPS class with a long history of being mishandled by incompetent class designers that dont understand scaling. Short streaks of extreme imbalance with weeks of continued PvP centered nerfs that hurt you in PvE just the same and no one to claim responsibility and answer the simplest of questions on the team.
Generally very management intensive class (various pets that need to be leveled and ranks acquired for) with super clutered inventory thats also one entire bag smaller.

Druid is fine, you will be a required to put in some effort on the class though, but either Moonkin or Feral are utility monsters and you can expect to find groups even if you arent someone with great logs.

On alliance: If you like Priest, play priest. A shadow is a great PvP class. Not much needs to be said.
In PvE you are strong early and fall of with gear progression, so no one expects you to do great dmg. The utility you bring with Homunculi alone is godlike, so you can expect some favourable treatment.

On horde: Shaman. Why? See the billion threats complaining about how absolutely broken the class is.

hunter is pretty noob friendly

All classes are noob friendly at SoD.

The hunter is one of the classes that will have the easiest leveling, but it is not the only one.
Afterwards it’s sure if you just send the pet and auto-attack, it’s easy, but the hunter is more than that, and the FOTM quickly understood this and they fell back on priests, druids, warlocks and now shaman.

What’s more, if you want a class that will remain broken from the start to the end of SoD, it’s clearly not the hunter you should bet on. Paladin is a sure bet, the day he gets nerfed is because Aggrend is no longer in position, otherwise druid, rogue, mage and priest are versatile enough to always be OP whatever the phase of SoD.

my man tell me u were on some sort of drugs when u wrote that hunter runes are indeed not ok and need major reworks we have 1 rune for each slot maybe 2 from the new ones but everything else needs a rework

This is not a daycare forum.

I guess as a new player you can start a class that can do everything. Like druid , shaman or paladin.

Like that yout can try 3 roles and what please you the most.

Hunter is said to be noon friendly but is only because noobs have to level up and hunter is good for it. But with SOD buffs on XP it is not relevant anyway

Ganking people in Deadwind Pass last night we counted 16 druids and 14 hunters out of the 40 people we killed in 25 or so minutes. Any of those classes is fine, they appear to be FOTM, so you cant go wrong with either choice.
