Druid/Hunter

Help me guys to choose class: Druid or hunter?

Want to have fun, play bg/arena and do a good damage. Range DD (not feral or healer). Thanks🙂

Hunter.

Levelling a Balance Druid is a breeze when you hit Outland but absolutely miserable before that point in my experience. Realistically, you’ll be going Feral until 58.

Since you want a range DPS ( I assume from the start) go with Hunter.

I have 2x 70 hunters now, love the class, especially now in prepatch. Can highly recommend the class.

  1. You level with easy.
  2. You can solo elites easy.
  3. Its a fantastic pvp class regardless of spec.
  4. You do decent damage as a range dps class in pve, and ridiculous burst in pvp.
  5. Pets are awesome.

Probably hunter. Druid is extremely hard to play in PvP, thanks to form switching and the fact that you basically have tank/healer/dps (bootleg rogue) all within the same class, and you need to utilize all of them.

I have boost, so can up Druid or hunter instantly

If you have a boost, Druid is the way to go. As others have said, Balance is terrible to level up, Feral is good though.

Druid becomes A LOT of fun in TBC / WotLK.

So hunter will be easier and better than Druid for bg’s /arena?

Then you can skip druid, because a good player doesn’t exlude his toolkit bcs of some obsession wanting to only be a ranged.

So yes huntard it is.

what a nonsense, good player is not playing what he likes. Sound more like fotm roller

for bg arena go hunter , and since u wont be playing feral , resto is better to have 3 ranged options thatn just 1

Hunter.

I loved leveling druid and to be able to do all roles is fun, but endgame as druid you only have one ranged damage spec.
(My tip is a druid alt when you get bored on your hunter)

what changes come outland for boomkin? i tho once u get the owlkin frenzy (on hit 10% dmg and mana regen) boomkin was fine.

overall all druid specs have hard time in wotlk because servers are full of paladins and dks meantime hunter is good in kiting them so you will have a lot of fun

Proper Spell Power gear.

It makes an enormous difference!

Depends what you like more by style. This is no secret that all classes are fun. Everything depends what do you prefer yourself.
Hunter is ranged solo with his bow/gun and animal companion.
Druid is a mix of different archetypes with animal shapeshifting.
Try to find which play style do you like, mb even none of them who knows.

Hunter, since you are boosting.

Druid is more flexible and can have second talent specialisation for other roles, like healers, who matter more on BGs more than another DPS and can stop the enemy advances and turn the tide of battle.
However it takes time to get used to druid stealth, flag carry, arena survivability (ever tried to kill a healer able to become fat armored bear, while his HotS still heal him?), mutli role support and primary damage dealer as moonking capabilities.

Just go Hunter it is easier.

Dont expect to do dungeon as feral dps in pre patch, you will be gaslighted at every turn
