The day before yesterday I played a few RBGs, and saw a druid apear for an instant before disappearing by a flag. I didn’t take note, because his rogue friend who was attacking me was a more pressing matter.
But the next time the druid appeared was when he was finished capping the flag.
Has anyone else experienced druids being able to cap flags while being in stealth?
Can’t say I’ve ever seen it, was he cloaked by the rogue perhaps? Altho pretty sure that’s not meant to be possible with the flag but nothing in this game surprises me any more.
I’m not sure how he did it. It seems like went into stealth the same moment he started capping.
Also, it seemed to have happened another time in the same BG. But this time at mines. Though I cannot confirm it, since I wasn’t there and therefore didn’t see it.
Could even be simply due to his positioning while capping, if you get right up as a cat to the flag, you can almost sink into the floor, leaving little more than a head showing while capping, catches quite a few people out if they’re not fully focused on the flag.
That is a possibility. I mean, it could simply have been a human error on my part.
But I did have my succubus, in invis, ready to interrupt anyone trying to cap it, and without the visual cue of a flag being capped (the red lines circling the flag), I didn’t think there was anything to target.
Also, it wasn’t standing up against the flag when it disappeared, nor when it reappeared.
I don’t know about current game (it seems all bets are off, blizz doesn’t care, anything goes, and rogues, hunters and druids roam the wastelands murdering and ganking innocent players that try to actually play - how naïve of them!),…
… but I have seen a flag just CHANGE without ever seeing who changed it. In Legion, BfA, etc.
I’ve heard that if you drink a certain potion just before you start capping, it keeps you in stealth a bit longer but you can still cap, so you might not even become visible much before the cap is already yours.
So I have seen this flag phenomenon many times - the flag just suddenly changes, and sometimes you may or may not see a slight shape and then it’s gone, or you may hear the ‘sound’.
This game is so mad now, it makes me mad as well.
Not sure about Druids but I know Rogues for sure can cap flags whilst stealthed or at least cap 80% of the timer whilst stealthed. It’s ridiculous.
In that case, it might be a potion, trinket or something else. Engineering gadget perhaps?
