Yes, I’m sure campaigns were the key reason why they went to Korea to showcase the game many times to then host big tournaments that continue to this day.

Paid faction transfer would probably reduce the queue time by 10-20%

As a Horde you can turn Warmode on for those extra bonuses and never see any world PvP unless Alliance created raid groups on some point you have to cross.
And that’s the weak side of Warmode - it can be used purely for PvE without any PvP. They even had to add a quest for warmode minority faction to incentivize participation and all it lead to is the minority faction creating sudo-raid groups to complete the quest, get the loot and turn warmode off.
Poor rogue can’t handle PvP competitive games so has to gank lowbies in Classic.

For world PvP not really. For current state of retail some extra anima? not really. And when the big quest drops for Alliance they make a zerg group at like Maw entrance to do it as they can’t realistically do it through “organic” open world PvP as even in Warmode Horde is majority.
The only good thing from Warmode is that you can turn it off. Majority of big monofaction Horde PvP realms were in majority PvE players rolling there due to population and good guilds.
Not everyone cares about PvP in this game and trying artificially to “incentivize” them won’t really work. All those big ex-PvP realms weren’t really PvP.
2 minutes cooldown, 30 seconds with shared effects. Stop being a troll.
I don’t argue if warmode is bad or good, I am just stating that people which find the bonus worth it, are incentivesed to turn on warmode, the bigger the bonus the more people will be incentivesed.
It’s artificial. It gives PvE bonuses and people use it for just that. Having warmode on doesn’t mean suddenly world pvp is saved. In theory it was to filter people wanting pvp from people that do not but there isn’t just enough Alliance players anyway so it doesn’t work for open world pvp as they expected it would.
Artificial “incentives” won’t fix faction imbalance.

Please tell me you are trolling, when did I say it would fix the imbalance? Warmode was made for people to escape from corpse camping etc, not every checks realm pop and pick “wrong” servers. People are incentivesed to jump into warmode since there are no benefits of having PvP on. The bonus represents the balance the smaller bonus, the more people of your faction is in it.
Every man for himself was an incentive to join the alliance, it was so good that majority of the players went alliance then they nerfed it in legion, if you go to arenamate legion season 5 I believe was when the PvP turned in to be horde majority and has gotten worse by every expac

Your solution of horde Vs horde is terrible I’m glad your not incharge.
Your solution is as good as using a bucket to fix a leak on a boat and think it’s a good solution but the bucket will overflow and the boat will still sink.
Instead fix the actual problem by repairing the leak (faction imbalance) then the boat will make it all the way to Howling fjord. If they don’t fix faction imbalance we might not even see wrath.
This also helped faction balance, since a lot of alliance would’ve rerolled horde for this reason as well.
The highest chance of a fix would likely be faction change.

Tbh id enjoy seeing horde vs horde que, then we could all have a blast drinking some delicious ally tears for a change! And nope, you guys wouldnt reroll/unsub or any other stuff you claim youd do lol. Youd just whine on the forums heh
Alliance would not reroll because alliance plays alliance for the sake of playing alliance unlike horde.
