I love questing as affliction, Just dot and run, amazing self heal.
But it feels like it’s not doing very well single target in raids currently in pre-patch.
So i am wondering if Demology or Destro would be better as Off Spec for Raid & Dungeon bosses
I’m currently closing in on T6 Quality gear, If that matter for the decision, Currently around 1250 SP self buffed
I saw a Newly dinged Warlock do very decent DmG as Demo.
But currently on Logs Destro seems to dominate the logs at high gear
you’ll have to change a lot of things in your gear if you want to make another spec at that point, each spec has it’s own caps for hit , requirement if needed for crit , SP is viable for all of it of course but hit/crit and set effect differs . so give it a proper thought first and make sure you can cover it
Affli is actually quite good in single targets, as long as they have a huge HP like raid bosses. This is due to drain soul. I’m currently using affli pvp spec to leveling and it does alright with most pve content. Second spec I’m using Demon and it is obviously better for pve but not for much.
You overthink things a lot 
I did try some Destro and it feels like i get atleast a 400 - 600 Dps boost from it.
Very nice, So will probably be what i switch to for raids. At least now during pre patch
During WOTLK when Affli gets access to the ruin talent and Quick decay glyph it will probably do better dps than it does now
