Dual Spec please

please add multi spec simple swap feature like those seen in the modern game or after TBC, every group is looking for a tank and most of them have changed to the raid spec roles away from tank.

Edit, yes tanks are the in demand on retail too, but the wait for 1 is far less, tanks are successfully selling their play time to groups willing to pay. Yes tanking is a challenging role but being as their in such high demand they get groups faster and if the group is that bad they can leave and get a new group.

Would be a great QOL change, but they’ll never do it, because… idk, blizzard reasons I guess.

Fixing a player made problem by adding more stuff to the game, does not fix the core issue here.

Ppl dont wanna tank, since pugs can be a toxic hellhole.
Who wants to put any effort innto tanking when the dps are so moronic.

And that havent changed even in retail where you have dubble the amount of tank classes and everyone who plays one of thoes can swap to a tank spec when ever they want to.
You see most people dont want to be a tank and have the resposibility of that.

Almost no one will spec tank/healer anyway, they will just get another DPS spec or a PvP spec.

Only people who do not agree with the dual spec are people who transfered gold cap from classic vanilla.

They want to have most ‘‘authentic’’ experience, yet they all rushed to boost chars up to 58 etc…

Strange, seem to have lost all my gold…

We are playing this version of WoW specifically to get away from the modern game cr4p that is retail.

If you are aware that this was introduced after TBC, then you know when it will be available in Classic: After TBC.

For the umpteenth time on these forums:

Dual Spec does not solve the number-of-tanks-issue. Retail has free respec & adaptive gear & 6 classses that can tank, and people are still waiting for tank.

Where is my gold? And my boost must have been broken as i had to level from level 1 :frowning:

Lol. No. The reason people don’t want to Tank is because tanking dungeons for random groups absolutely sucks. It’s high responsibility for no reward and Tanks are mostly blamed for wipes/deaths even though it’s normally due to DPS not paying attention to threat.

So in short, no. If you want dual spec stick around till WotLK or go to retail.

I would actually like the idea to have 2 specs even in a classic remake

Why are you not playing a tank yourself, OP???

I played a hunter through every expansion, I’m reliving that now, but with a bit of hind sight. In Wrath I started pala tank, since then my main has always been a multi role class (tank/healer) or the hunter.

It does not solve, but it helps alot. In retail off-specs there has been timegateing in some sort of way the last 3 expansions. While leveling there is only a small shortage of tanks/healers since there is nothing hindering them queing as those specs. And the skill requirement to tank/heal at the level you are thinking of are night and day compared to tbc.

I’ve heard people say that players won’t be recognised for being a good tank or a healer if people have dual spec, but I guess it in reality they are just ok players since they can’t handle competition

In retail there are 24 DPS specs, 6 tank specs and 5 healer specs it is only logical that there are less of them

Dual spec can be the gateway for more people to try tanking/healing compared to a 50g cost + 50g if you don’t enjoy it

Please do not add dual spec. Thanks.

We have been asking for dual spec since TBC was announced, massive polls show +70% of player approval, yet Blizzard continues to ignore it…

Blizzard doesn’t react to polls. Dual spec is not a TBC feature and however useful it’s not something that was on the roadmap for TBC. Opening an option to add it would also open other “options” as well which I doubt will happen.

I guess you’re wrong fam. Blizzard has been surveying the playerbase for years.

Their surveys, not player surveys. They asked how to handle TBC character transition, but they didn’t asked about dual spec, mercenary mode and whatnot. I’m not saying dual spec is good or bad just that out ideas have very little to no impact on the game.
