Duelist - bugged great vault?

Is my tooltip just bugged ? or am i missing something. Shouldnt the great vault offer me a item lvl of 226 on wed, when i reached duelist rank in arena (2100?)

If you see the screenshot to the right it says the item lvl is 220

If you read this blue post:

Didn’t they say they capped gear at 220 for 2 weeks ?

It is capped at rival.

  • Starting at Week 2, the upgrades will be uncapped.

I think you missed this one

I believe that you can upgrade the gear you get to 226 anyway next week if you are 2100

Even if not, it’s not a big deal

Guys can you at least read the wowhead post/link before you comment… -.-

I’m not talking about upgrading through honor from vendor. I’m talking about the great vault weekly loot

The ‘upgrades’ also mean the weekly chest, as in total it’s capped at 220.

I just think you can’t put together simple logic.
I think It’s unfair for a week but you can upgrade the gear instantly to 226 in the 2nd week

So the wowhead link says great vault rewards are uncapped, but you have duelist which should give 226 but it shows 220, suggesting either they are capped or duelist doesn’t give max ilvl or its a tooltip bug?

Maybe what cutiepie said is the answer hopefully

@cutiepie

but im not talking about the upgrade? im simply talking about what i expect getting in the great vault on wed from the pvp duelist rank? which in the wowhead post says 226, but on my SS it says 220.

besides im pretty sure yo u cant upgrade great vault gear, but only pvp vendor gear - atleast thats what people have been telling me, which also does makes sense if true.

In the first week, the gear from the great vault is capped to 220. Is that really that hard to understand?

No matter if you are 1800 or 2800, the gear you get from the great vault is 220 in the first week. With the second week into the season, this restriction is removed.

It doesn’t say 226. It clearly says 220 for this week. In week 2 it is unlocked to 226 in addition with the great vault rewards

There is a . if you didn’t notice.

No one can tell you the truth behind this It’s only speculating. However it wouldn’t make sense at all being gated with your vault gear when you reach a certain rating.

Quote from the blue post: “There are no caps on the Great Vault’s PvP considerations. Duelists (rank 5) or higher will receive item level 226 equipment from the Great Vault.”

hmm? read the wowhead post i linked

Besides completing a +14 gives 226? so the cap on great vault is not 220

EDIT:
here is the entiry post for the lazy person:
Mythic Keystone dungeons and ranked PvP are opening with the beginning of Season 1 tomorrow, and there are a few aspects of the first week of the Season to highlight.

During this first week of Mythic Keystone dungeons, there is a cap on the increase of item level of end-of-run loot. That loot will stop increasing at Mythic Keystone +10 for this first week, which is item level 203. However, the Great Vault will be uncapped the following week, and loot from the Great Vault (on December 15 in this region) will reflect successful completions achieved during the week of December 8. The Great Vault will award item level 226 for completing Mythic Keystone +14, and other completion item levels can be viewed in the Mythic Keystone tab of the Dungeons and Raid window once the season begins.

For this first week of the Season in PvP, item-level upgrades of Conquest equipment are capped at item level 220, requiring Rival (rank 4). Starting with the second week, (again that’s December 15 in this region), item level upgrades of Conquest equipment are uncapped. There are no caps on the Great Vault’s PvP considerations. Duelists (rank 5) or higher will receive item level 226 equipment from the Great Vault.

Good luck out there!

…
is my english skills really that bad?

I’m not exactly seeing the issue here.

You get your 226 item in either way. That’s all you need to know.

That’s all I asked. But then I guess the tooltip is bugged, since it says 220 in the great vault. At least in my world - and I know the restriction in max upgrading to 220

They simply expressed themself incomprehensibly, but the fact is that the ilvl should be capped at 220 in the first week for both, upgrades and the great vault.

I mean, hover with your mouse over the honor text ingame, the tooltip still says “in Stormwind and Orgrimmar” for example. There you see how much effort they put into PvP notes.
