just because we SEE ilvl 1, doesnt mean its actually 1. true ilvl still is decided by a very specific mathematical equation.
all players have to do is figure it out (as they did before) and make an addon for that.
i dunno, i think everything but gearing is the problem. i cant be bothered to go through all the rep grind and renown grind and what have you like story and such again on an alt. gearing as is is fine except legendaries.
all they need to do is remove borrowed powers and currencies, gearing is still simple per se. you still got your difficulties you can go through if it wasnt for the powers.
mh, not quite sure, i actually quite like it when i can improve by a key level. for me it would be super frustrating to be stuck at one of the five levels for ages until i can move on to the next, this would feel like a worse grind so key levels actually bring some variety in difficulty, even if its just an illusion of difficulty if you will.
like âoh no, i have been stuck at level 3 or 4 for a month or two now and have to grind the same difficulty over and over again compared to hey, i was able to improve by two or more key levels this month and can now clear levelâŚ14 or 15s or 16s.â for example.
it just feels nicer. sometimes i dont feel like timing higher keys so i choose keys which are a tad lower and are still rewarding.
cant comment on that as i dont feel that way. the only thing that might be a problem is if you need or want a specific key.
Why? You cannot just say - âits just notâ.
Anyone else can tell you âYes, it just isâ.
Beside, are you aware that PvP gear scales in battlegrounds? Plus there is going to be fix for gear in 9.1.5
Point is to keep having better gear in order to have good progression. Otherwise, you can just have better gear to provide good DPS but in my personal opinion, you should have only personal satisfaction to out DPS most of people in LFR. Beyond that point, you donât need any gear at all.
Itâs not really that complex, you are either looking for:
Find me someone who dings 60 wanting to PvP and enjoys joining battlegrounds to gear up. 130 ilvl vs 250+ ilvl. I can tell from experience, having no impact, no matter how hard you try, is not fun.
I agree, it sounds better than it currently is. But there was also nothing wrong with how WoD PvP gearing worked, it was arguably the best PvP gearing has ever been, and yet they removed it. Most likely because it impacted PvE gearing. But they can make them work together much better than just applying upgrades on upgrades on upgrades.
