Please bring back dungeon finder for WoW Classic WOTLK. What if blizzard bring it back and then people who do not wish to use it they can opt out on the menu?.. many people are mad because the dungeon finder got removed only because a handful of people was like we prefer it without. I don’t believe this is fair for the people that liked dungeon finder so hopefully this problem will be resolved…please let me know how you feel about this whole situation maybe it can happen…
Opting out will not stop the RDF from reshaping the already damaged environment of the game.
This topic is new and interesting.
RDF that teleports ppl to said Dungeon is not wanted by me. The thing in-game now in pre-patch for wotlk is plenty alongside lfg and world chat.
Just create one server with enabled RDF. No what-ifs.
People clearly want RDF Blizzard.
And many more clearly don’t.
dungeon finder does not much more than encourage leeches.
a better solution would be to do a solo mode with 4 npcs. it’d feel better carriyng npcs than human trash
And it is totally okay! We have lots of servers without RDF!
Well, the Torghast single player dungeon would be much more fun on Wotlk system than Shadowlands.
DF for old level dungeons shoulden’t be so bad really, i mean alot people atm focus new content and find people that wanna do low leveling dungeons are hard enought.
What if blizzard bring it back and then people who do not wish to use it they can opt out on the menu?
This is always a weak argument.
I’m going to assume we’re talking about the very same RDF that was implemented back then (The same that’s currently available in Retail).
I am against RDF because it’s way too convenient for WoW with no downsides at all. It eliminated huge parts of the social aspect and for me personally it made a large part of the game feel braindead.
Imo RDF brings more negatives then positives to the game as a whole and that’s why i personally don’t want to see it implemented.
If changes were made so RDF was treated more like a way to learn the dungeon or simply for dungeon quests then that’s fine for me, inferior loot (if even loot at all), no reputation etc.
There is NO good reason or argument not to add lvl 1-60 Dungeon Finder. It was all about pleasing the hardcore players who sadly makes the most noise in forums. Cried like babies not to add it, complaining it destroy soscial aspect, while these same crying babies are the same people who never speaks.
As someone who are a full time university student with a part time job and working out 2 times a week. I tried playing, but had to quit becouse its 30-60 min time wasted traveling to sum stone and try get a group togheter. With LFD i can do quest while w8 for dungeon. Every minute i play is spent doing something usefull, and i can feel like progressing even though i don’t have much time playing.
And we got no LFD now, where is the so called soscial aspect the crying babies cried so much over? I speak a lot under dungeon runs, try to be social. But its like speaking to a brick wall. 90% of the time everyone ignores me, no one speaks.
Again, only reason they did not add dungeon finder for lvl 1-60 dungeons was all to please the crying babies who alredy have hours on hours to play the game everyday. While casual players like me who only got 1 hour to play on weekdays gets ignored. We sadly dont make the same noise.
Nope, not exactly that. We just need a system that similarly to BG system can automatically create dungeon group (which is not the same as normal group) and teleport that group to the dungeon directly. We don’t need the dungeon finder +5% stat buffs or blue item rewards.
Nope. Social aspect was gone in wotlk because dungeons were easy, acessible and you did not need to cooperate that much. Idk why ppl don’t want to accept it.
The so called new dungeon finder already eliminated the social aspect of the game. I get invited with no whispers, in party chat someone says for which dung/quest, ppl get in the dung / quest and i seem to be the only one who’s actually saying things, these are ppl from my realm!!
It’s not the tool, it’s the ppl, they want stuff done fast. The tool is buggy as hell aswell, doesn’t matter for what i queue, i most of the time when i want to browse, have it on searching. On top of that, no matter how many times i tell the game i’m dps, i get put in as tank!!
Edit: I can now also add this:
I get invited for a dung, i trust ppl are either on their way like me or at the summoning stone already. I had to discover by a completed quest put by questie in party chat that they have already killed first boss, the one i need for that same quest aswell. The char i’m doing this on is lvl 70 and in full brutal gear, i don’t need normals just for the quests. Nice social stuff this so called group finder /applause blizzard
To be fair guys RDF didn’t destroy anything LFR was… RDF just helped to lvl up faster. Thats all.
So a good idea is to bring RDF back
RDF may come with ICC 5ppl instances, just as it was the case in original Wrath.
I wouldn’t say that RDF is giving you a faster leveling, just more automation for a dungeon finding and traveling.
Before RDF people were more prone to do several dungeons together and many classes that could tank had their offspec, because they knew it would give em advantage in finding a dungeon group.
With RDF people left and requeued immideaty, but new dungeon run started only after half an hour if you were the dps. Also there was less tanks as dps assumed that system would ALWAYS find them a tank, maybe a bit slower but every time, so why keeping the offspec then?
First of all the previous part of your post was contested so many freaking times it’s not even funny. We got all the features from WotLK lifespan from the getgo except RDF that Blizzard said they won’t add to “preserve” the social aspect.
Now for your quote. Maybe it was like that back then in 2009 but right now? People bail after single run. Occasionally I got people doing two in outlands since dungeons were close/shared the quests between them. But that was experience Blizzard cut short thanks to exp compression. But yeah people just group, do a run and bail from my experience.
I had more “let’s queue for more dungeons” with RDF than the current LFG system could ever hope to facilitate outside of the “world tour” nonsense.
Are you comparing groups formed for single heroic dungeon daylie with some sort of leveling groups?
Tank wait time is 1-5 seconds in RDF, so if he/she disliked someone in group just slightly he would leave ASAP. Then the healer leaves, because he/she knows, that chances to jump forward in queue are higher without 3 dps on his/her back.
could you back this up in any way? i personally dont care about rdf, bring it in, leave it out, i couldn’t care less BUT i see A LOT of ppl who dont want it. ive also heard ppl say its the reason wow died for the past decade. so when you say its a ‘handful of people’ that sounds a bit fishy
perhaps if you check one of the other 20000 posts on this forum about this same topic you’ll see
lol he’s saying his personal opinion and your answer is ‘nope.’ maybe its you who need to accept that everyone doesn’t feel the same way you do?
its so tiring seeing this same thing every day, ‘WE ALL WANT RDF!!!’ but then when you talk to ppl in game most ppl dont care in the least
Nope, even multiple heroics in a row happened regularly with RDF.
Sometimes 1 person would drop, sometimes 3, sometimes you’d do a couple and sometimes you’d just do 1. It was a fairly regular occurrence however.
With absolutely nothing to back it up.
Subscriber numbers started dropping with Cataclysm, not RDF.
