So I started to level a bunch of chars, I want to do it through dungeons (please spare me all the “that’s not enjoyable” or “just buy boosts”).
Which expansion’s dungeons are the best for that, what is your experience with that?
I think it’s worth doing the tbc, mop and wotlk ones at least once due to quests, do any of the others also have in-dungeon quests? Can’t recall that (other than vanilla, but those are way too long to be worth it I feel like)
I like low level cata ones, then whatever timewalking is up if I get to that level. However, I generally hop about in chromie time and queue to see the wait time and determine which to pick from there. TBC, WoTLK, Classic and BfA tend to be the most used.
I do the ones you mention and once most of the Dungeon Quests are done, I just choose MoP as they are fast plus you get guaranteed loot from each run through LFG.
If you don’t like playing with new players avoid BFA ones as most new players will be there. If you like variety go for Classic or Legion. If you wann do the same 3-4 dungeons go WotLK, MoP or WoD as you rarely if ever get the higher level dungeons.
I lvled a looot of alts during BFA, ended up account capping xD
My experience was MoP was the most enjoyable and it allowed me to quest in between.
MoP dungeons are quiet fast apart from a few, and the quest zones usually is very packed with grouped quests, so you get a big chunk at a time
I am not at my PC atm so can’t check, but I think the majority of the XP you get from a dung is for queuing for random dungeon
I am in the 30-60 range with my chars now, the bonus for queuing random is like 70% of a level’s worth, and you get another 20% for dung mob kills, in TBC, Wotlk, mop you get another 20-40% for quests if it’s the first time.
So mob xp wise maw would be nice, but i think the other parts boost random dungs way higher
Pandaria is probably the most efficient since most of the dungeons are short. Personally I queue for Shadowlands whenever possible, imo it has the best dungeons out of any expansion
