Dungeon leveling

Just a thought

are most of you challenged in one way or the other?

If u get a tank that speeds the dungeon you manage to
pull even before him, or dont look where u walk and pull even more wich slows all down.

U walk around on your biggest most obnoxious mounts, so when u need to skip a pat, u make sure u pull it.

if bosses are skipt you are crying about loot, i need that boss, i need that +1 ilvl gear.

Bosses give 1% xp, wich for some, the 3-5 min fighting it while lvling, isnt even worth the time. yes, on a low group its deffo 3-5 min.

Completion of the dungeon is all that counts xp wise. So fast dungeon, fast xp, Q again.

Or are you telling me you srs like going to the same dungeon for the 400th time.

/rant over, since im kicked for the 4th time this evening as a tank cause i just want to get my xp and be done with it.

Ain’t leveling in Dungeons outside of Tw’ing xp just not worth it? Find questing XP a lot faster.

tank and healer instant Q.

one dungeon one lvl till about 50. Then its a lil less, if u can do a dungeon in 10 min, some even in 5, its worth it.

Currently lvling some on a new account to 45 since we get dungeon event wedn. then all is 70 in a heartbeat.

Seems like if you keep getting kicked and not learning from it, its not the others that are ā€œchallengedā€.

good one, ill keep that in mind

if u dont go fast enough, people start to pull for you

if you fast people kick you

but yes young padawan, you must be right.

I just returned to the game and started at 35 to 60 doing dungeons.

Its put me off wanting to try DF due to them being completely pointless /soulless

Not sure if the DF dungeons are any different, but from what people said in game not much.

Might as well call them instant gratification simulator instead of dungeons

/zooooom to the end weeeeee!

Are we getting the whole story here? Seems odd to me that people are kicking a tank just for skipping some bosses.

I haven’t seen this when leveling in dungeons. The only kicks I’ve seen were for obvious bots or AFK players.

I could see a tank getting kicked if they run so far ahead that the healer and dps can’t keep up and die to aggroed, untanked mobs, but that is only a potential issue with DHs.

Amazing way to start a rant /clap. I’m sure people will agree with you right away! /s

So? People are entitled to want to clear the whole thing. Some bosses are needed for quests, others need transmog or, yes, gear when you don’t have heirlooms.
Don’t gatekeep.

Why are you on the clock? Do you have an hourly quota you need to meet? Are you a chinese goldfarmer? No? Then why whine (yes, whine) about this? It’s a video game, not a job.
Like you said it’s only 3-5 min extra. If you don’t want to deal with people just solo quest.

Some people replay Ocarina of Time 20 times a year, some like to level new chars through certain zones and yes, do those dungeons for the xth time. Again stop gatekeeping.

Ahh there it is! 4th time? Hm must defo be a you issue then! I’ll give you a hint based on this whiny rant: ā€˜me me me me’ is all I get from this.
You seem like the tank that has a serious ā€˜gogogo’ mentality, skipping stuff and rushing ahead, getting anrgy when a new player for example can’t keep up. Yeah I’d kick you too. In. A. Heartbeat.

Sorry sir, you’ll find no sympathy from me.

There looks to be more to the story then you are telling us .there is no way you can be kicked out of the party for 4 times in same evening and you not doing something wrong .

Yeah, must be this.

I havent levelled a toon in forever, but apart from doing dungeon quests is lvling via dungeons the fastest method?

More importantly, you are not the only one in the dungeon, everyone has their own goals and reasons why they are there. Just because you are tank it does not mean you get to call the shots as evident by you getting kicked out 4 times in one night.

ive levelled a toon and as DPS (exp TBC and BFA) is max 2 mins. I levelled a shammy from 10 to 60 in 1 day. After 60 is better questing and dungeoning.

If you’re getting kicked that often it’s probably time to invest in a mirror and do some reflecting, i’m a very ā€œgo go goā€ type of tank and i’ve yet to be kicked out of a leveling dungeon.

When DPS or healers pull on purpose I just ignore the mobs or go another way.
Usually nothing happens, just once I have been kicked for ignoring the mobs that a hunter kept pulling in FH.
My only regret was not kicking the hunter first, because most of the times the rest of the group is just a bunch of minions that accept every kick vote that somebody start… They would even accept to vote for their own kick if they could.

There are stupid reasons as to why people kick others… but if that happens regularly, you should take a good look at yourself.

This is why follower dungeons are necessary. In leveling dungeons too.

Not the OP’s ā€œissuesā€ but to avoid the OP.

May I sell you this fantastic version of WoW, Classic?

Regardless of your chosen edition, dungeons of the current version are pretty fair paced, remains so at least for the next two-three editions (Cata, MoP, WoD).

Low level WLK is similar to the OP, but 70+ is sensible. Was the same during BC.
SoD is not classic.
Cataclysm is coming which should be fun the same way, especially at the beginning, as long as heirlooms cap at 80.

Positivity over, the negative is, I have the same view / understanding of DF.
It’s what current retail players desire. :frowning:

I can tell you that i have played a lot of characters as tank in the lower dungeons and i’ve never been kicked…

This is a monk i mostly played as Brewmaster up to 35.

All I can suggest is pay attention to how the group is handling things. Slow down if people are dying, not keeping up, or the healer is out of mana. Speed up if people are on full health, the healer has mana, and mobs are dying. Not every group plays at the same pace, you have to adapt to whoever you landed with on this particular run. Much like when pugging M+, you gotta play with the team you get, not the team you hoped you’d get.

Also use neural silencers to get rid of hunters who like misdirecting :dracthyr_comfy_sip:
