Currently leveling 2 alts and depending on the chromie time and team mates the differences are insane.
If you got a lot of low level teammates, you can blast through BC/Wotlk dungeons. Higher level teammates and Classic/BFA: Abilities deal like 60-70% of your HP as dmg.
i’ve done the same dungeon(wod one where nerzhul is the last boss ) with both lvl 50+ char and a level 12, on level 50 one it was like a m+20 , mechanics did kill us instantly but on the low level one we didn’t even see them because he died very fast, there was a few days between them so maybe it got fixed but that was an issue i had .
edit: i enjoy the scaling and chromie time but i feel like something is very wrong with the new scaling .
It makes no sense to have both levels and lv scaling. First time I came into that realization was when I played Oblivion. High level, powerful gear and I would still struggle with enemies I encountered at lv 1. Why bother lv up when nothing changes, in some cases you get even weaker.
I feel like there is no point to leveling anymore in modern wow and the devs think so too that’s why they keep making it faster and faster.
That only really happened with level 10s. I levelled a few characters over the course of SL and there still were a few specs that remain bonkers in damage even after 50, so that part isn’t exactly true.
Alot still depends on your gear, your class, and who is sitting at the keyboard.
yesterday in a “oculus” run (Wotlk dungeon with drakes), last boss was oneshotted by a single red dragon hit.
Yes. there is definitely a problem with scaling here.
