Its 2023 and the only way to do M+ is to join premade groups . Waiting hours in a day to get invited into a group drains life and time . What ever u do to fix this thats will not work until you add Dungeon finder system for M+ , We should be able to solo queue to dungeons and get 4 random people in our team to do M+. For example if u have 2000 io you match with people with 2000 io to do a M+. You can keep premade groups for +25 keys so people can push with specific classes that they want .
You can have this as long as we keep premade groups as well. Otherwise i dont want it.
3 days later…
“Blizz, your system keeps putting me in fail groups and I have no control over who joins. Fix this!”
Plus they’ll need to offer a LOT of augment runes for healers and tanks to join this mess ![]()
It is weird that the implementation is decades old and seemingly low on the priority list of things to update, considering that WoW is a game heavily focused around playing in groups and running dungeons.
But then again, Diablo IV launched without any kind of group making tools. Come to think of it, then every single Blizzard game lacks in this department. A strange Achilles heel to have for a company that only makes online multiplayer games.
And it seems like there’s some easy low-hanging fruit that wouldn’t be controversial to implement – assuming it’s design deliberations that give Blizzard pause.
I mean, take any player searching for a group.
They’re going to search based on preferences.
Key level, role needed, item level required, specific dungeon(s), classes/specs of other players, and so on.
Those are just basic filters, just like the game already allows you to filter based on a basic name search or language options.
It’s weird that there aren’t more filters, given that the filters people would want are pretty straight-forward.
And once you have the filters, then the whole search part would be pretty easy to automate. I mean, why does the player have to scroll through the list looking for the groups that fit the criteria? Automate it and free the player from having to do an otherwise mundane task.
But then again, considering that Diablo IV has absolutely nothing, asking for the bare minimum of updates to WoW’s system is perhaps asking for too much these days.
yeah one way or another they need a queue because waiting on that list for 10-20 sometimes 30 mins just to get an invite is insane. i’m sure this doesn’t happen to anyone and i’m sure some people will always blame us with different reasons everytime but this is a big issue about wow. PUG experience is horrible and you need a premade group to actually enjoy it. i don’t like fixating my game time around other people that’s why i don’t do guilds / teams and i get that people who do that deserves a smoother experience but the difference between two is insane. so many things that needs to be changed but the queue is the first priority imo. 5 dungeon limit is also utterly ridiculous knowing that there’s a big chance leads might make you wait for multiple minutes hence you either have to cancel or wait to apply to more groups.
running your key is also not a good solution people here keep mistaking solutions with avoiding. when you run your key there’s a bunch of other issues you need to deal with and your keep isn’t always what you need. i have a +20 key right now and i need +18 of another dungeon, no i will ned deplete it on purpose. i hope blizzard is seeing these posts .
the solution is a group finder supported by AI , we’re in 2023 and this company is now owned by Microsoft. this can happen if they really want to enhance the gameplay. if you really think it’s not possible then maybe it’s time to check the news and see what AI can do and how companies already use it.
You are welcome to have your group finder as long as we keep both options.
You do know you can make your own groups right?
Has everyone forgotten they’ve got their own keys?
Whoa!!! steady… dont keep going and making useful suggestions man! We dont do that here…
Damm, you’re right. Forgive my naivete.
Most people don’t wanna make their own keys because of the deplete system.
The LFG tool will never be replaced, that isn’t issue with queues for M+.
The issue is that once the queue is introduced M+ will just become a patcipation trophy content just like Normal, Heroic dungeons and LFR. This happens every single time. Add a queue, people complain that they get added to fail groups, Blizzard nerfs it into the ground so every fail group can complete it. With LFG the fault for the fail group falls on the player for not choosing correctly the invites, with queues the fall goes to Blizzard and therefore nerfs are guaranteed.
And what makes you think you won’t be waiting that long (probably even longer) with queues?
What, because people fail the keys?
If your group fails the keys, that’s on you for picking bad people, or also on you for holding back your group.
Nobody is playing the game to be punished twice for other people’s mistakes.
The deplete system should not be in the game, period, end of story.
There is no positive to it, only negatives.
Again, if other people are failing to do the dungeon correctly, that’s on you for picking them. You’ve no one but yourself to blame. That’s why Raider IO exists.
It prevents keyholders from kicking you midrun for the smallest thing. Oh you are only doing 400k and not 401k>kick.
Why would they do that? If you are doing well enough and the dungeon is getting completed, why would you waste your own time searching for a new member. How does this benefit the leader?
Sometimes i think that people don’t actually think stuff through. And that would be correct.
In fact most times people don’t actually think.
I’m so over trying to argue with people over this, you either get it or you don’t.
And when blizzard eventually does remove the deplete, or at least significantly alters it. I will be there doing the i told you so dance.
Idk why they do it, but have you seen all those “kicked from leveling dungeon” posts that come and go in waves. Why do you believe that won’t happen in M+?
They won’t remove it. You’re the only person who doesn’t like it as far as I’m aware.
Again, if you bring in bad people, you have only yourself to blame for bringing them in. It’s as simple as that.
I guarantee those posts are greatly exaggerated or leaving context out from the story.
Iv’e been in my fair share of dungeons.
People who get kicked is because they are either rude af, or actively wasting time.
No one is getting kicked from a heroic or normal dungeon for performance.
I dont like it either, doesn’t mean that it doesn’t serve a purpose though.
