While the 2-set bonus from the new SE rogue set is very nice and i appreciate the fact that the rogue set bonuses got a bit front loaded, the two other set bonuses seems a bit lack lustre, especially for backstab builds.
Maybe there is something wrong with my sims, but from what i can tell, the damage increase from the 4-set bonus is either minimal for some builds, and a straight up dps loss for others.
6-set is a bit better, but not good enough to really move the needle when you take into consideration that you need to take a 4-set that is either rather mediocre or can end up being a dps loss depending on what build you are using.
For my backstab/IEA setup i can basically get within the ballpark of what a bis 6-set setup can provide in terms of dps by mixing T2, T3, ZG gear and only using 2 pieces of Duskwraith due to the dps loss i would get from having to use the 4-set in my setup.
Basically the 4-set could really use a buff so its not just a tax node you need to deal with to get to a 6-set bonus.

Amen brother.
The set bonuses for rogue absolutely suck apart from 2 set. Backstab is incredibly reliant on bloodfang 2/4 set to even be remotely playable.
These old tier bonuses need to be baked in somewhere.
Not to mention there is 0 cleave bonus, unlike many other classes who seem to get cleave in their tier bonus, for a raid which is completely designed around cleave …
It beggars belief the incompetence of whoever created this set.
Patch notes stated “rogues need more damage. That’s it” and yet we are bottom of the pile barely beating an enhance HYBRID DPS…
As a pure DPS class we are merely in a raid to provide occult and/or sebaceous. That is incredibly boring gameplay and we deserve better, much better. Rogues have never dominated in pve in classic compared to mages/locks/warrs. So I’m confused why they are getting hammered in Sod, which was meant to mix things up.
Now all I see are warrs and pallies in top end DPS. It’s completely stupid and needs addressing.

That Bloodfang 2-set really makes the flow of the build feel a lot better.
Whenever i do Naxx, i run two Duskwraith and six Bonescythe and i really notice that i dont have the Bloodfang two set equipped.
