I have leveled a dwarf brewmaster monk. I like playing it, especially that I do this in parallel with another friend.
And sice I like it that much I am looking into more customization options for this character. Do you have any cool transmog suggestions for my dwarf (besides the regular dungeons/raids/pvp sets available to monks) ?
That depends. Your troll paladin looks female from the avatar,
So the question becomes. Do you want the skimpy style?
My monk is vulpera, so much of the gear will not look the same.
But for the authentic (dungeons and dragons style lol) monk girl, you cannot go wrong with the harness.
I mean the ones you can buy in the back of Org. Tho those cannot be transmogged as they are white grade items, there are about a dozen versions that are green and upwards.
Brown, black and red are most common.
There are a couple of ābarbaricā style tops that look tribal.
Until they let us get permanant festival robe/top style gear we canāt do the more pandaren style traditional.
Though there are quite a few bits of gear in pandaland that would likely fit the bill.
I guess it depends on the visual style, background of the character and their sort ofā¦personality.
Do you have a back story for your dwarf monk?
I didnāt start out a roleplayer, but I do keep an image in the back of my mind, even back when I first started playing my chars in vanilla.
It starts with a name. Does it mean anything?
Like my name here, Baraia. In minbari it means āheart of the worldā and comes form the worker caste.
I figured it worked since I was going to be wearing the heart of azeroth round my neck lol.
So. What is the mental picture in your head, of your dwarf monk? Why did they choose monk? Things like that arenāt just for role players lol.
I had a dwarf brewmaster once. I styled him as a wildhammer. So he had red hair with the multiple topknots hairstyle, huge beard, looked wild.
I outfitted him in the āodd slotsā druid set from blacktemple, the one that has an eagle-looking helmet and shoulders. I used the shoulders and head from that set. Hid his cloak and chest (because heās a brawler and scrappy type) and put him in a kilt (I canāt remember the name, but it matches the colours of the off-druid set, kilt of natureās something?).
Hid cloak, hid gloves, hid boots and just stuck some chunky bracers on him. Good to go.
Weapons, when tanking iād use a pretty unremarkable spear for my tanking polearm, just a standard āI stab thingsā with no decor to it. When WW I used one Aladarās Battlestar with a colossus enchant for lightning (dat stormhammer) and the other was one of the troll-esque axes from ToT with nice green runic patterning over it. Looked really nice upon his back.
Jungle themes look pretty good on dwarves actually, some wildhammer green transmog does well too.
I have a great wildhammer transmog for dwarves, sadly itās for mail wearers though.
(sneak peak: https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/character/eu/doomhammer/hildna)
The heritage armor belt is also a solid piece to combine with other pieces of armor.
on another rogue dwarf I have a brawler themed transmog, when Iām home Iāll try and post a screenshot for inspiration (if I remember to post it xD)
You might be surprised about a transmog I have for my dwarf hunter, itās his poor mans transmog xD. pretty much just some pants and bandages
I only have a single facial hair option that I like on dwarves, thatās the big platted beard (with one part a slightly different colour) that has the ornament thing on the end.
Have you tried Mogit? Itās a great add-on for building a look. It will show you items in game and you can try different pieces on your character and see how they look.
Itās hard to give others āideasā as tastes differ and what I find appealing you may not
