The issue is self-CC in PvP caused by:
Vampiric Touch - fears when dispelled.
Unstable Affliction - silences when dispelled.
Since these spells are bread & butter of the specs you have them on yourself all the time when you face them.
Standard dwarves don’t have it as bad because they may still make use of the dmg reduction.
Dark Irons on the other hand, literally have an orc racial that puts them in CC for half of its duration. Which is pretty ridiculous.
Stoneform didn’t use to dispel magical debuffs, turns out there was a good reason behind that decision.
My point is that no other racial ability penalizes you for using it. And stoneform didn’t use to penalize you either until it got changed.
Proposals to fix them:
They can straight up be given an immunity to these effects - a pretty strong buff.
Or they can stop dispelling magical debuffs like they did before and to compensate:
Stoneform - Can be given an increased magical dmg reduction.
Fireblood - Can be given a buff to the primary stat increase from magical debuffs present when it’s popped.
Or just don’t use them when you know there might be negative consequences. Dwarves are clever, they know this.
The answer is always more
