I wonder if weāre ever going to have a relaxed vacation instead of extreme environment adventures. Just once, get to relax without potential death lurking around.
Whereās the fun in that??
I know right! He makes it sounds like he isnāt enjoying freezing his dwarven hind-quarters off!
ā¦speaking of which, weāre in the chilly western valleys of Dun Morogh exploring a mysterious puzzle that has us delve into the far past! Archaeology meets mysticism!
Weāll let you know how it goes once (if) the riddles and mystery unfolds!
And if we survive.
Looking good boys and girls!
Donāt you mean lads and lasses?
But we do look good.
Och aye, me apologies lad. Did nae mean to sound like a bloody human.
Apologies accepted.
Bit of a delay, but weāre finally kicking off our final (and very chilly) campaign of the year!
Been looking forward to this for months!
Have not had time to update these forums in a while. But now itās time to bring you all up to speed on what we have been up to.
After our Journey to Northrend we took a moment to gather our strength and deal with some local problems in Dun Morogh.
After settling our quarrels with the local Frostmane we set out for Alterac with a very special purpose.
Asked to investigate a mysterious rumour, the Morodnir bundled their might with the Chapter of light, Weyland retinue and the Anointed Eagles.
Seeking to expand the Stormpike holdings in Alterac and strengthen the Allianceās hold in the North this expedition in the Alterac mountains ran into some unexpected difficulties.
Stumbling upon a large throng of Ogres under the leadership of Tyrant Korāvok the expedition got off to a rough start.
Now however the banners among the expedition have gotten their bearings and even now they prepare to plant the standard of Khaz Modan atop this distant plateau.
Like what you read and want to join in the adventure? Come speak to me we have fully reopened recruitment and now look to welcome any dwarf with a knack for bringing hope to their kin.
Creativity and adventure? Perhaps dwarves and elves might get along after all.
Dwarves are a bit of a rarity these days and as a nightborne, I can only sympathize with the idea of bringing some love and warmth to your favourite race.
Soā¦ what have we been up to? As you may have already guessed, it involved freezing our beards off.
Led by their stoic leader, Folbar Boldbeard, the Morodnir ventured to the Alterac mountains and a newly discovered valley beyond the usual holdings of the Alliance and Horde. Our Stormpike backers were eager to see if there was land suitable settlingā¦ and oh boy, it turns out it wasnāt.
Navigating frozen crags and jagged rock faces, we were quickly ambushed by a strange gang of lightly clad humansā¦ and Orcsā¦ and Dwarves!
We quickly learned these were a capture party of slaves bound with runed collars sent out to capture unsuspecting travelers. Worse yet, the deranged slaves were bound to the will of the insidious mountain Ogre clan known as the Moāgrosh!
We quickly fended them off before heading to find shelter in a set of thermal heated caves. However, we had little chance to explore further before the Ogres ransacked our camp mid scouting. It was time to get seriousā¦ So the Morod called on some of its trust allies to help rid the land of the Ogre threat!
So naturally, we returned in fighting form!
With our camp set, it wasnāt long before a Moāgrosh diplomat came to pay us a visit. Demanding tribute in slaves (the nerve!) for safe passage in the valley.
Naturally we settled our misgivings and differences like amica-- we chopped his head off and stuck it on a spike.
In the following nights our we and our allies looked to some serious scouting efforts, as well as finding some food! We quickly found our enemies held up in a series of camps among dragon bones and fire! With some quick planning, we swiftly set about putting them to the sword!
As we ransacked our way across their holdings and frozen domain, there was some lighter moments broken up with accidents, or even a gnomish image taker.
Ultimately with our enemy hemmed in, soon came the time to fight for the freedom of the slaves and put the Moāgrosh down for good.
With our allied forces split in half we took on two different objectives. First a heavily armored team assaulted the main holdfasts front gate as a means of distraction-- before long they even got into the heart of the camp and lay waste to the Ogre tyrant lord!
Meanwhile another group slipped in through the craggy cliff passes at the rear, freeing slaves and battling through their lash wielding slave handlers!
before long they re-united in victory and returned to camp. With glory earned, slaves freeād and the ogreās disposed of we went our own ways ready for Winter veil.
A huge shout out to our friends during this campaign, you were all great! A big up to the Weyland Retinue, Chapter of Light and The The Anointed Eagles as well as all the brilliant un-guilded or other associated folks who came along. Was a pleasure.
Stay warm and a merry winter veil!
Just signed on, excited to begin my adventures and build new fellowships.
You are in for a TREAT!

Time for a good old update!
Taking some time away from the trials and tribulations in Khaz Modan the Morodnirās set out for the distant peaks of Highmountain with a singular purpose, to scale the itās highest peak and share in a wonderful adventure.
This lighthearted adventure filled with humor, danger and a sense of exploration has allowed us to bond together and ready ourselves for the perils to come.
In the days ahead we will aid in the reclamation of Gilneas. An effort we will share with a great many friends of allies.
After that we do not intend to sit idly. Instead we are looking to investigate a mysterious string of elemental summonings that have troubled the sorcerors of shadowforge of late.
More updates about these upcoming events will follow.
Do you hope to share in the adventure instead? Then drop me or any member of the Morodnir a message and weāll see about getting you involved.
As it stands weāre particularly interested in those who like to dive headfirst into battle so if you are that kind of Dwarf youāll be in the right place.
