I have 2560x1440 resolution(144hz),3060ti,5600x cpu,16g ram and i have more fps with the older dx11.
Why should i use dx12?
You dont really need to, if you are satisfied with how the game plays for you.

Scroll down to and from the chapter named "What DX12 can do for you (and your games):
Sidenote:
Well, in theory DirectX 12 should give more FPS by moving the rendering state tracker out of the kernel and into the game engine, which should in turn cause the state tracker to be smaller because the developer knows what’s needed and what isn’t, and therefore this can increase FPS or lower CPU usage or both.
However, NVIDIA is really, really good at writing a DirectX state tracker as one might imagine, so despite the fact that it does a whole lot of things that WoW doesn’t need it may still be faster simply because Blizzard aren’t quite as good as NVIDIA at writing this thing. And that’s not a slight against them, because how can you possibly compete with a dedicated company designing both spec and hardware and software all to support one another in perfect alignment. I mean good luck with that.
Of course it should be noted that DirectX 12 enables some more features like raytracing, so if you want that you should enable it. Otherwise… well, go ahead and use DirectX 11. Run the game in whichever way fancies you that gives you the best compromise between visual fidelity and framerate. That’s all there is to it.
