DX12 with AMD video cards, fix when?

Please Blizzard say, who need to fix this problem. You or AMD. It’s shame that problem exist for 2 months by now and no fix is available.

What problem you are refering to?

If you refer to game seemingly locking to black screen when launching just wait for the game to start as it is generating shader caches. Once it is done the startup is back to the normal.

Amd cards are unable to run DX12 reliably at the moment so most amd card users are having to use DX11 which has bad performance.

I personally haven’t had issues with my RX6600 and DX12, besides the lock up at start when launching for the first time after driver update for example and that was fixed by just waiting.

But no way to tell what issue the OP is having without further info.

There are literally scores of posts by AMD graphics card users, across both EU and US forums, reporting issues with running WoW.
This is not an isolated incident.
Go back a while, and my 6900XT could even handle ray tracing in this game - which is more than can be said for most modern games under this brand!
Something has happened in the interim, between several content updates and driver iterations, to seriously mess up performance.
It is unacceptable in 2024, and I will not be renewing my subscription until a solution is implemented.

We have several problems with AMD only video cards. Just want to know who need to wait to fix that problems. They begin with latest patch two months ago. It seems Blizzard don’t address anything and we wait for AMD Driver 24.1.1. If problems is not in driver, what we have to do for Blizzard to fix this on their side? As you said a lot of post for problems, but no fix from Blizzard. :frowning:

Also are Blizzard planning to support AMD Fluid Motion Frames, which give some performance gain? We see that all NVIDIA features are supported.
