Dying in 2 seconds isn't fun

Ok we tried the burst meta, can we now go back to being able to last more than a few seconds in pvp?

‘‘Fast paced-meta’’ is an intendet timegate

a ‘‘burst-timegate’’

Is it just nostalgia or was it way better for anyone else in BFA when you could survive more than 5 seconds before you’re back waiting in graveyard?

yup, ive believed this since the beginning.

I love the part where I go to heal (on my Pala) and Im instantly → silenced, stunned, feared, snared, dazed, hexed, poly’d (list not exhaustive), dispelled, stripped naked, spun 360 then 3 people put their middle finger into my butt… all while jumping in and out of range for fun (seemingly not using actual CDs).

…sooooooooo when Im finally free and give chase they just bounce away into the distance and if Im super lucky and an ally CC’s them for a second so we can actually do something they just begin to use their plethora of survival abilities which means that unless there’s 4 people on them they can just dance away staying above 70% just in time for their mobility CDs to come back (if they were ever on CD) …rinse and repeat. Voila Battlegrounds in a nutshell (as Holy Pala).

pvp in any other expansion was better, than it is in this one…

I’m currently the GM of a pvp guild (yep, f*** me right?) we have been around since wrath. I went trough our member list the other day… most of our usually active and arena loving players haven’t been online for 3-6 months… they left the game in protest due to the state of pvp… since nothing have changed, they are still protesting… because it’s still a one-shot-fiesta and when not joining in on the not so fun one-shot-fiesta… we can “enjoy” the eternal grinding! And all the raids we don’t want to do anyway…

You must be new to wow, if you ever played wow since, let´s say, WOTLK, you would know that is pretty normal, if you had pve gear, greens, blues and maybe some purples, you would be shot down in seconds, even with blue pvp gear from crafting you would still be killed in seconds vs, let´s say, someone with wrathfull gear.
Now, being shot down in 2 seconds with similar gear, that shouldn´t happen no.

I don’t mind fast paced pvp, but I think that res timers and cc duration should be reduced to help facilitate it.

They want the game to be like that

Burst meta is fine. Blizzard has to make Classes more complex and harder to play and put some resource management back.

You guys do remember the difference between 3 weeks old Frost Mages and 6 months old Frost Mages during Wotlk for example?

Nowdays there is 1 about week of practice and rest is up to your teammates…

"Dying in 2 seconds isn’t fun"

So… you want to have slow and painful death? Agony for weeks? :stuck_out_tongue:

PvP being fast and bursty being is fine, the problem is when happening it’s from random procs and spikes of damage like Sudden Death, Spinning Crane Kick, Rising Sun Kick etc with little to no counterplay for. This is as opposed to burst coming from co-ordinated setups etc. BFA was utter garbage and even worse than SL. Procs that one shot people outright completely disrupt a game that’s about CD trading.

Stuff like rets or fire mage is much worse at lower rating when people don’t counter it, they’re strong, but it’s more predictable damage.

Also, depends on your gear, if you have challenger or less gear, you’re gonna die fast.

you probably did not pay attention, just look at the reserve of life (HP) if your opponent has a reserve of HP more than yours, then this is the easiest way to say that he has a better gear, more damage, less damage on it, etc.
That is, you simply do not have a 1x1 chance against such an opponent, and in the current realities one character with 55k HP can kill 3-4 characters who have a reserve of 25-32k HP.
that is, the difference between dressed and undressed characters 3-4 times, this is 300 -400%
