Make sure there’s at least SOMETHING we can still do in the old expansion (people without pre-release). Gold WQs turned down to 35G, please just do that AFTER the release of the next expansion?
I spent most of my time re-setting the action bars and talents of my Remix characters, since you decided it needed to be like that…

That’s the one thing that bothers me about the “Early access”-scheme, the whole game has already shifted to TWW-mode (For lack of a better term), but the people who didn’t pay to get in early can’t go to the new zones yet, making it not so much early access for people who did stump up, more like late access for those who didn’t.
I logged in, saw that all DF content was neutered into irrelevance, so i just did the pre-expansion bag emptying instead (Between everything profession-related having 3 ranks and all the items related to rep or world content, there was so much bag clutter!), “To buy EA or not to buy EA” will be a moot point tomorrow, anyway.

Exactly that, I don’t mind people have early access, but at least let us do some things we used to do in DF. I loved the 500G Dragonrace WQs, but no, they don’t want you to do anything in DF any more
. And the event, sorry, it was bad

The gold was nerfed more than a week ago already even before the early access started. But I do agree that it should’ve happened once the TWW was fully out.

Didn’t know that, I re-subbed too early, since I thought I could do them on all my alts.
At least I got that frost Mammoth in the Cavern, never did those hunts, did 2 last night

It came out last week. Today is second launch for the regulars.

Sometimes it’s good to take a break. And it’s also good to give publishers the signal that their playerbase will thin out with such decisions.
Tinfoil hat theory: They nerfed gold from DF quests, so that few people would log in so that there is less stress on servers for the early-access crowd.

I know, I got early access. What I meant was that the gold was nerfed already back in 14th reset, I remember being upset about it as I lost my easy gold farming.
I’m not here to moan. I made a decision not to buy early access, partly based on the idea that I was interested to see what the game would be like and how I would personally feel about waiting a few days; watching all the streamers do their thing, seeing all the posts from excited wow influencers etc and trying to manage my own FOMO.
Here is a list of my observations (in no particular order):
- with an army of timerunners to prep for TWW, I have used my few days grace to log them in, take them through the Radiant Echoes event and to grab a couple of Awakended bullion gear items via LFR.
- LFR has been very strange indeed, lots of toons like mine (i.e. undergeared) making fights slow, but also a seemingly collective memory loss of the mechanics leading to unnecessary wipes.
- I have my fingers crossed that the early access will have removed some of the lag/traffic jams and other launch day irritations
My FOMO still needs managing; I wish one or two of the streamers (I follow) would have held off and joined in the 26/27th launch.
Finally, FFS - yeah moan inc - do we really have to wait for PST players, devs and staff to have lunch and a nap before the rest of us can play? How about actually launching on launch day? You know, like in the morning for PST and afternoon for EU.
How has it been for you?

Just fine. I didn’t buy early access… it just happened to come with the version of the game I was buying anyway. I played for a few hours last night and a few hours today and I’m quite content with leisurely easing myself into the game. I spent the rest of the weekend with family, so no FOMO at all.
I don’t watch streamers (I don’t see what value they add?) so don’t have any zugzug smash smash pressure to race through.

You are not missing out on anything. It is literally just a a % of the playerbase that got to level 80 before the % of the playerbase. We can’t actually do anything but level and explore the new zones.
There is season, no m+, no raiding. It is levelling, profession progress and exploring. Even delves aren’t worth doing because they don’t give any meaningful rewards until the season starts.
You really aren’t missing out on anything. And all those streamers and influencers? They already did it all in beta anyway.

Doing delves is useful, get up to Tier 3 and it saves you some time, also each delve is different so different tactics to learn. And yes do they give better gear once 80. So you are better prepped for dungeons and raiding.
I’ve done 3 and got nothing

But they are? The launch day has always been “August 26 at 3 PM PDT”
It just seems a lot of people, are not looking at the time zone they are in.
In regards to FOMO, yes some people are min maxing and gaining an advantage in renown / delves, but at the end of the day, will that matter in 2 months time, when Blizzard do “catch up” mechanic?
Unless you’re competing and or excessively trying to min max, you’re not missing anything really. And hopefully with some players already having finished through EA, there will be less people tonight for a smooth launch
Did you open both chests at the end?
Yes, and I ran over the gold piles to collect the money
You’re likely playing with people who have never done the content. The only raid I did in DF was Amirdrassil, during season 3. If I was to do the other raids I wouldn’t be forgetting mechanics, they’d be entirely new and like everyone else I’m not going to be watching guides or reading the journal to do LFR.
I feel like some mobs have too much HP
speaking of the world quest which requires you to complete 3 other world quest first, where you have to fuel the digging machines
one of those mobs had 110m+ hp, it took longer then a world boss to kill for a single fuel item. Got it to 70% on my own after like 5 minutes (tank) before dpsers finally swarmed on it and killed it fast. Idk if that health was normal or if it was bugged or if there is some ability which makes them increase their own health but for the love of god please remove it
even the quests boss after reigniting the digging machines had like 28m HP, way less then some of the mobs you needed to kill to get items to access this boss
Never going to happen. They will have a FOMO if they delayed playing until general launch day. Needs those subs rolling in.

But isn’t that a pendant to a World Boss? It’s supposed to be a group quest, and apart from the rares that spawn, all the mobs have melted when I did them in a 5-man… Even the last mob just melts.
So I assume it makes sense, that instead of 1 big world boss that requires a full raid group (to the extreme), now the HP pool is spread across the entire WQ for what is supposed to be done in a 5-man?
I may be wrong
