I had at least two situations where my Earth Ele pulled in between pulls. First was in Sanguine Depth in the Gauntlet Event, it pulled a bat passing by. Second was in Ardenweald section of De Other Side on the way down to Xyexa it somehow pulled the 3 hatchlings on the lower ground even when we were just on the road down the hill. They snapped up and took more birds with them.
I can not directly control the Elemental as a Resto Shaman. Should I dismiss the Elemental in between pulls and accept the damage loss? Maybe the attached earthquake from DeepTremor Stone should be turned of when not in combat.
I recently came back to the game and in open world the elemental even pulls aggro on neutral mobs that aint hostile.

Is that accidental? Since afaik they have an aggro thing built in.
Earth elemental has a taunt aura so no it wasn’t accidental.

They should change it to only taunt mobs that’s engaged in combat. Always got on my nerves how it pulls random groups of mobs in a 10 mile radius at times.

Worst is when it taunts a big group a cpl of seconds just before it expires and then I’m left to clean up the mess… fml…

I would dismiss personally if my earth ele has served it purpose on a certain pack and could pull extra on the move to the next pack.
If you have no risk of pulling extra keep it out.
Just to keep the run smooth.
