So I cast earth shield, then water shield, and then my earth shield gets removed.
This started happening after abovenamed talent got introduced and still has not been fixed.
Make sure there is not another shaman in your group.
It happens that when another shaman is in the group, his earth shield has weird interactions with yours. Just make sure to communicate beforehand that you will put the shield on X and Y players and he can put his on the other DDs.
And this happened before the talent was introduced. Maybe its the same thing. Maybe it is not. Just letting you know though (in case you did not know).
I have noticed the following: Every time I zone into a new… zone, and I don’t already have Earth Shield on me (and/or another target), then I will need to cast it once on each target for it to apply and dissolve, then a few seconds later a second time to place it for 1 hour (it’s normal duration). If I cast it twice too fast, it will still dissolve. If I wait a long time to cast it for the first time, it will again dissolve anyway.
It’s not the same thing as I’m experiencing. I rarely have another shaman in the group.
I press ES, then it either automatically gets removed, or it gets removed when I cast WS.
Most of the time I have to apply it thrice in a row for it to stick.

yep it is weird af. Idk if you play solo shuffle but you have to wait like 30 seconds before applying ES or it will be removed automatically every time, before the game starts that is
No idea then.
All I can say is that I dont get that issue. I dont use the perma earth shield talent either… its just not as competitive as DRE.
