Earthen Not Available At Launch

Is it just me who is disappointed by this?

Generally when a new race is advertised, it is available when the expansion launches, or in pre-patch, not after purchasing the expansion and completing the whole quest line in the new expansion.

I appreciate that this is usually the case for allied races, but this is not being marketed as an allied race, just a new race available to play.

I personally want to level through the expansion as an Earthen but I am going to be in a position where I just autopilot through the content to get to Earthen. It is not how the new expansion story should be played and I think Blizzard have really let us down with this one.

I can’t help feel that they want us to run the whole storyline and hope most people won’t want to level from scratch and instead pay for a race change.

This doesn’t sit well with me. I think they should rethink how and when this new race is implemented.

From the very day they announced the race they were upfront about it, so I personally find it hard to be disappointed.

I don’t mind. It worked fairly well in BFA. It just means you get to learn about the race before playing them.

I think the earthen will be one of the best new races in recent expansions. It’s about time we had some Dwarf lore.

No, it makes more sense to get them later on. Although, that goes out the window when they start doing the quests etc you’ve just done, mine will probably just do group content and delves.

I don’t mind it honestly. They removed the reputation requirement, which I hated in BFA, so for me it’s ok. I don’t think I will main an Earthen, so I can wait a bit.

I mean, that basically just means they are an allied race and that they won’t have a starting area?

I rather have Blizzard focus on good story than a starting area you will visit less likely.

Welcome to Allied races, it was crap in BfA and will be crap every single time (crappier if you have to farm rep for them again).

We’ve been able to make dwarves since the game launched, Honestly they can keep this garbage allied race unavailable until the end of times for all I care.
