Easy M+ fix for non-mythic raiders

Hello.

This is just my idea, as someone with experience in pugging 0.1% title on multiple chars/specs. Yes, pure pug no comms, why? Because I love the freedom of coming online, playing for 40 minutes and going off.

Something that, in my opinion, is not exclusive to me, since most people got life outside of Azeroth, families, children, and cannot really spend hours with no breaks, several days a week, progressing mythic raid to be on 8/8m farm since month 1 or 2.

I think M+ will be amazing when they stop giving advantage to mythic raiders.

Easy fix:

Let m+ only players upgrade heroic raid gear to mtrack after passing a certain rio. Lets say an equivalent to 3.5k this season? Like all 16s or something. That would still make people play your raids to see the story unfold, try the bosses, which are often fun and in heroic, you can do 2-3 and then continue later, something a lot of people with limited time appreciatge.

I’m sick and tired of having to raid, which I consider boring and awful, to enjoy m+.

The amount of seasons we got bullshait like “LF ret, only leggo” “LF tank - only mythic icon” “Note avoidance cloak” is just … no comment. Not to mention the fact that if 4 players of the same spec sign up for a key, same Rio, same experience, but one is 5ilvl higher, because they are reclearing 8/8M since month 1 … obviously you pick the better geared one.

TLDR: either give m+ only players access to more mtrack items ( like one mtrack item a week by completing 15+ key or something ), way to upgrade heroic gear from raid to mtrack based on rio.

Or! Just freaking split m+ completely. Give dungeon items ilvl scaling above max ilvl when in dungeons instance. Easy.

I agree with the intention on your post. But the suggestion wont work.

Mythic raiders are good players in general. Better than you or i.

3.5k is not that great of an achievement for them. Additionally, the purpose of gear is to nerf the content for those of us that dont have a premade or that insane skill.

So getting myth track at 3.5k defeats the purpose of gear. And wont prevent raiders from no-lifing M+ to get obsene gear boosts.

IMO the simplest solution is to make the 6 tokens you get in the vault upgrade 1 piece of gear from hero to myth.

That way, every week everyone gets 1 myth track piece guaranteed. And raiders in particular have the option of getting more than 1 via drops.

That seems fair to me. Because you would take 3.5 months to be full myhic. Raiders would take ~ half of that. Which is OK.

As someone who pugged 0.1% title on multiple specs and also got CE with a one day raiding guild. In terms of pull count top 400 world ish, I can very easily tell you that most of them are definitely not better  I know plenty of them struggling in m plus, where they have no voice, no leader to shot call and where unlike raid, one person dying is usually detrimental, whereas in raid, the rest can carry it.

And also if I were to compare, then getting CE and mythic raid in general was much easier than 0.1%. At least on Dragonflight. Supposedly this tier is like 5 times easier even. My problem with raid is not difficulty, but the fact it consumes too much time and gives too much of an advantage to raiders. I am pure m plus player and I am still not 684 since I can only get one item a week and it might be a non bis one. While my friend leveld up a paladin 2 weeks ago and is full BiS, because he played 8/8m raid twice and got 11 items from it and bought the rest with Dinars. How is that fair, it is not. M plus only players should have this possibility as well to make fully geared alt end of the season by playing their desired content. But 3.5k rio right now is like 1% best world. I think it is very reasonable measurement to get extra rewards and benefits as pure m plus player.

The easiest way for sure is to make dungeon gear scale higher in ilvl when playing m plus. Thus raid items would become obsolete there.

What does this have anything to do with the discourse?

Pugging title is not as impressive as you believe. Its like getting CE. Its not the same to get CE on week 3 of the season, or on week 22 of the season. So its not the same to get title with 3.5k than with 4k.

This matters because gear is supposed to help those that dont have 4k, or got CE 6 months ago…

However all the limitions put in place are to stop the 0.001% from abusing the system.

Why do you think you cant trade items you dont want if you got a lower ilvl? Well because the Method guys were doing shenanigans with split raids… To such a degree that everyone else was “forced” to play that degeneratelly… Because it gave you such massive advantages.

Well same for M+ drops. If they allow that the Method raiders will no-life M+. And then all other mythic raiding guilds will have 3.5k “farm” as a requirement.

That is what you want to avoid.

To be honest i think a full rework of the M+ format should happen. While i don’t think there should be a Rio threshold to get full mythic gear, i think it would be appropriate to at least give a currency similar to the current dinar system, where a M+ player can at least buy trinkets or special effects weapon from a vendor, similar to what happened this season with Raid players. Also, i think it would be nice to rework the reward scale. It’s pretty ridiculous in my opinion to have a mount reward at 3k and the next thing is rank 1. They should put rewards for top 5% and top 1%, some glad mount recolor for example, but i digress.

just disable raid weapons and trinkets.
fixed

every season blizz needs to pull people with op stuff into raids because nobody wants to play that garbage content otherwise.

I mean the vendor for trinkets we have now kinda fixes that issue a bit, but that vendor is just not there in the beginning or mid of season which is stupid.

if I can get hero track trinkets of the raid it is still a metric ton better than all the rubbish trinkets from m+

HC raid is poop easy but most people just CBA sitting in queue simulator with tons of potatoes in the raid that needs to be carried.
