Easy way to toggle Chromie time on the fly needed!

Hey.

As the title says, i think we need some wayu to easily toggle chromie time on or off anywhere we are.

Like im doing a storyline anmd that requires a dungeon completion or a raid to be finished, its really tedious to travel all the way to Orgrimmar and back just to do an instance and after that, repeat tre trip to continue story on Chromie time.

Like why cant chromie just give us a device or magical amulet Basically a Toy) the first time we meet her. With the device, we could summon his image and talk to her and have all the same options that Chromie has near the embassy. Choosing a new timeline or just toggle the Chromie time off when needed and back on again. Would be so much easier to have fun.

Phasing and changing instances is not a problem here since we are phasing all the time and also changing instances while we travel. Its sharding and phasing with just some more control given to player with Chromie time toggle.

Chromie and Zidormi should share an interface window for all phasing- and scaling-related options. This window should have a window toggle button in the micro bar. Why can’t Blizzard do this?

Yeah. Would be great that way too.

Maybe one way to go would be to add another buble on the minimap, similar what many addons use and what old UI used for mail and tracking options. By pressing that we could choose to contact either one of those plus possible future additions too to toggle phasing and scaling options.

IU really like both of these, especially that scaling is toggleable though it should work on all levels including the latest expansion, but needing to travel makes it pretty cumbersome especially in the world where we can magically contact people, we have projections of people and even good old radios we should be able to do all these things where ever we are.

Personally i would like an immersive way where we contact Chromie or Zidormi and have an interactive projectrion of them where we could do the toggle, but im happy with any way to do the toggle on the road.

I was also thinking about the same. I sometimes need to turn it off for a dungeon or raid. And getting back to sw and then getting to the dungeon is a bit dull. Haha

Yeah…

And like i just did, i vent from Shattrath to Stormwind to turn off the Chromie time, then got back to Dark Portal only to find out its rted so a flew to Zidormi to change it to green, flew back and went through… Then i flew to Auchidoun to do the Dungeons i needed for quests and then i went back to Stormwind and did some stuff there and forgot the Chromie time… So back to Dark portal, back to Shattrath through it, noticed some NPC’s missing in Worlds end tavern, mainly the dude that gives quest for Shadowmoon valley… Remembered i am still in normal time and… (This point, a steam pours out of my ears, a sound of locomotive whistle can be heard).

Yeah, back to Stormwind because i simply forgot the thing. Yes its my own mistake and fault but i mean seriously, there should be some faster way to do this in this magic and technology filled Azeroth of todaY.

I think this is good idea going to be convenant.

This one is such a funny story. I feel for you of course but yes it is almost comical. I think that devs didn’t intend us to use Chromie time like we do nowadays but times change.

Maybe it is hard to toggle it on/off on the go because of tech restrictions.

I don’t think it will happen. Chromie time can be used to enter different phases and basically do the same as server hopping for rare/mount farming or whatever. There’s also warmode phasing paired with it to consider too.

It would be an exploitable feature, basically. I mean, it’s already an exploitable feature when partying with an alt account or something but it would be even worse if anyone can easily do it anywhere they want.

I apreciate your input, but i dont see these things as much of an issue. Rare farming can be prevented by adding loot cooldowns and such cooldowns do exist allready, we can for example kill a certain rare mob in Argus once a day for loot, but other times it is empty until the cooldown goes. Naturally they will resspawn, but thats a good thing as this gives us opportunity to help other players trying to get the mob.

In regards to warmode, when someone turn warmode on, its on and phasing or toggling chromie time on or off can easily be prevented with added mechanisms like the current 5 minute wait time until PvP tag can be turned off.

Other than that, we are way too conserned about few people exploiting systems one way or another which often prevents fun from the majority of players. Its not good practice to make the bigger audience to suffer because poor judgement of other players, but certainly there need to be rules too or things would fall apart. Still, if there is a possible way to exploit things, there is also a way to make mechanisms prevent that exploit and punish the exploter.

I’m talking about rares like the Time-Lost Proto Drake, things from waaay back. There’s no way they are going to start recoding and adding kill conditions to the entire content backlog.

I agree that it’s sad exploits need to dictate what features are available to everyone but we are in MMO land here.

You’re right but they already have the mechanism in place to attempt to prevent that exploit; making you return to the capital city to toggle chromie time.

Your story is legit, but a small bit of help - the capital city portal room has a Shattrath portal. Also, the Dark Portal has a capital city portal (at least in WLK).

I think CT could be simplified by a lot, but I might be ignoring some edge cases.
