It’s an item that dumbs down the player. Usually when you want to casts something and you don’t want it interrupted you learn how to fakecast or bait cast another school of magic so you don’t get kicked on your primary spell and that requires skill , practice and alot more time invested in mastering your class. Now , all that is gone and you just purchase an item that takes that skill away and simply lets you ignore the kicks and interrupts and free cast whatever you want. I said it before and i’ll say it again: this game is going levels of downhill that we’ve never witnessed before !9.2 gave us the worst pvp in wow history!

You’ll never silence me, I’m a free orc! No more zugzug mongo melee locking casters down all game - it’s a good trinket

Fake casting is rarely rewarding vs melee anyway - successfully fake cast a DH’s interrupt? No worries - Here’s a stun for you instead.

the fact that getting kicked or a warrior using charge triggers it is a bit frustrating to me.

Actually it’s a savior for casters because melees have way too many semi-interrupts.

You know what was toxic? Faking a kick and getting insta stunned anyway. Now you bait a kick and get to cast. FINALLY. This trinket was very much needed for casters. They can’t take away gap closers and CC from melees for PvE reasons but they can give casters some very much needed protection.

This trinket alone makes me rethink whether I really want spend my time playing this game anymore.

The design of it is so horrible that whether it is good or bad, it should never exist and nothing like it should be even considered.

Except caster aren’t supposed to free cast 24/7, this trinket is just stupid.
I understand getting locked down is frustrating but most of caster except sp got multiple school and tools to do stuff.

Saying it’s good because you can’t cast seems more like a lack of experience Imo.

The trinket is an awful design but I unironically enjoy this take.

You know that the game is fundamentally broken when a caster isn’t supposed to freecast.

Seen the trinket in videos, but until today not faced it much. Wow it’s horrible to play against  eventually learnt to pump CC into the buff to stop the important casts but hot damn, that’s disgusting

I think it was to try and disrupt the gross RMP comp, but it’s backfired. Now everyone suffers

your 1700 cr with 125 games you are awful

Oh no, how will I ever live up to your extraordinary talents in life? Must I too consume cheetos and live in my mother’s basement to reach the heights of accomplishment that you have?

Already sounds like youre a weeb

Leave some edge for the rest of us Reborn with an accent on the o. :worried:

In a world in which casters lose uptime by being interrupted and melee lose uptime by being kited, this trinket is unreasonable.

We do not live in that world.

Melees have almost full uptime, not even by moving after target, but by using their movements cooldowns like charge, leap, roll, fel rush etc. Even if they’re slowed, those abilities are unaffected and they can pretty much keep being on the targt with full uptime.

To have casters be interrupted for long duractions and locked down in a world in which it’s almost impossible to reduce melee’s uptime would not be reasonable nor fair and would lead to melee meta and playing casters would be frustrating.

The only way how it would be okay to have casters have such a low uptime while melee have such a high uptime would be if they did insane damage. But then that would lead to BfA design and that was idiot. Remember Destro Lock, that almost never could free cast… but then they connected two Bolts and GG next game.

For casters to do normal damage as well as melee to do normal damage they both have to have same uptime… whether low (like it used to be in past, Vanilla, TBC, WotLK, Cata) or high as it is now in this season.

Sure some casters are insane currently, and needs nerf, but I think the trinket itself is fine.

I also love that this way there are ways to play around it… similar to fake casting, you can time your stuff (CC and Kicks) and work around this automatical buff. Not having Medallion is a huge downside. Eating longer CC does matter too. I think this is actually great solution. But I’d still prefer interrupts (melee) vs kiting (casters)… instead of interrupts (melee) vs trinket (casters). But that would require a lot of prunning.

Before I get attacked from all sides: I do play melee (Feral) and Healers and as none of those do I use Echoing Resolve.

It doesn’t matter what you’re playing. It doesn’t make your points more or less valid

I hate this trinket. Its a toxic implementation and not good for the overall health of the game.

Sure there are counterplays such as:

Sap into Resap → negates the buff. So does poly or fear.
You can force or negate the effect with (spamable) roots or with kicking into it (omegalul).

The longer cc, that you mentioned, is a downside, but the speccs that are abusing it are having enough ways to compensate for it - or their comb does.

Pretty much this.

I’m just speechless at this point, i don’t even expect much balance just … don’t suck please for the love of god
