(Edit All Paladin Specs) Protection Paladin (and maybe Holy too) STEALTH NERF with 11.0.5

Yeah hi,

so when I tried it today i saw that the dps numbers didnt increase and were lower than before. So I checked details logs of yesterday and compared to today.

E.g. Lightsmith Judgment AoE did 450k yesterday
today it is 250k

Judgment and other abilities are also approx 10k lower then before.

This would mean that the migration of PTR to LIVE was on an older LIVE build before the last hotfixes/balance changes.

Maybe the same holds true for other specs, but this is huge.
Maybe this holds true for the 30% Dawnlight buff on HPAL, idk but it could.

You can check for yourself on your logs from yesterday to today, or if you have like me tooltip screenshots you can see it too.

The 10% armor buffs worked however, my armor is increased and i have 2-3% more phys def.

here, I made 2 screenshots of each 2 dungeons frfom 2 today and 2 yesterday for the numbers on Judgment AOE. This doesnt include all the other abilities that now deal less, as i said judgment alone 10k less or shield less etc.

PS:
There are a lot of other posts on the US forum of people who notice that for hpal, ret pal and other prot pals with tooltip screenshots etc.
https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/c/classes/paladin/181

e.g.
https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/prot-paladin-got-a-5-nerf-to-wog-from-yesterday/1990578
https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/prot-20-wog-buff-did-not-go-live/1990345
https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/ret-dmg-nerfed-by-6/1990591/18

etc etc.

So basically to sum that up.
We lose all of the LIVE build from October and maybe September. They merged the PTR without rebasing LIVE before.
This means 6% damage on Prot, Lightsmith Buffs, 30% Dawnlight buff and 6% heal on Hpal, and same for Ret, are missing.

so why is this information not screaming from the mountains in every stream right now? People are not noticing until they look it up… All think prot pal buffed when it is way worse. What does that say about meta specs and priority specs? This playerbase… you can write buff and nerf or nerf and buff and nobody will act according to what it is but what they think it is

I don’t think I agree with anything you are saying on prot.

You’re taking half the changes and ignoring others. Refining fire now does about 15% of a prots damage but all you commented on is LS doing less and so on.

I’m not sure if you’re trying to intentionally mislead or just being dense.

The talent trees also allow you to take things like divine purpose and others which are survivability increases and you couldn’t path to them easily on the old tree.

The pally discord is relatively content with the changes and they’d be screaming blue murder if things on prot specifically were out of whack. I’ll take their considered view over somebody screenshotting random numbers with a pikachu confused face and a comment that says “number go down we dun got nerfed!”

He is not just saying this, he is proofing it and stating a failed rebase, which doesnt interfere with the additional new things like the new talent.

troll answer?

Hes literally taking the down arrows and ignoring the up arrows in his analysis.

I’m not sure how I can make this much simpler.

You guys haven seen an elemental shaman yet right ?

Cause the 25M DPS it can pull off is ridiculous…

Im waiting to download the patch and see that DPS for myself and have some fun for a while… Might just take this buggy patch with a bit of humor before they rightfully nerf this abomination.

There is another post about that problem.

maybe maybe if you are part of some community, like these discord people then spread it there, otherwise this wont be hotfixed ever from experience.

For my logs and tooltips it holds true.
