I spent an hour and a half setting up my UI with the new edit mode. Pressed escape to come out of it and it randomly set almost every aspect of my UI to the top left corner. Went back into edit mode to find that it had overwrote my profile with the bugged version. Tried to switch back to the default UI and even that had bugged in the same way. I then tried to manually set it all again and found the edit mode interface box was not visible. I can’t exit out of edit mode without exiting the game. Relogging doesn’t fix it.
I am also having a problem, but only with one char atm…weird. I have setup the UI for 2 chars no problems, it saves okay. However, on my Shaman the saved UI does not save. So when I log back in on him, the UI has reset

This sounds like the problem described in the Known Issues thread here:
The command /ReloadUI should help sort it out.
We’re also currently investigating and issue where UI changes are not saving correctly, thanks for the report!

I have a temporary fix for this, it may bug again I don’t know, but it will at least give you a second try!
Go to game folder_retail_\WTF\account[youraccount][yourserver][yourcharactername]
and delete the two files labeled “edit mode” something. That will revert it back to the default new ui and make it fully editable again! Let me know!
First of all its /reload not /reloadui, but what if this doesnt help? Everything is stuck and when I press Save it returns to the f’d default and cant even make a named profile. All addons are disabled

Having the same issue. Thought it was an addon issue so disabled them all and wouldn’t you know it, quest tab and chat box still crawl up into top left, can’t exit editing mode, trying to change grid spacing doesn’t work, the HUD Edit Mode box itself is transparent until I press Expand or Collapse options.
And top kek to the blue post not knowing how to reload a UI.

I hate this new UI, I hate this new expansion entirety!
I have spent half an hour to making somewhat usable this … UI. I have saved the layout. I have already deleted the Cache and the WTF folders completely. I don’t have any add-ons. Still UI resets every time when I log in or change the character! Of course, the saved layout disappears, too.
What the … is this … ?
Give back the old UI! At least until you fix this new garbage!
Oh, and thank you for nerfing all our damage and increasing all mobs HP! No, this doesn’t make dungeons harder, just waste our time even more. Everything has become slow and frustrating. Take one hour to finish an instance, really?
I regret paying for this … game.

I think that people might be experiencing what was flagged on New UI set up saved until I relog - #6 by Zulajo-dentarg
/Reload doesn’t change anything but moving everything apart from the chat box seems to have worked for me (apologies if this isn’t the problem here)
I found that exporting the UI “share” string to notepad, allows me to reimport it again whenever it resets. Not ideal, but a viable workaround until the problem is identified and fixed.
That happens at the start of every new expansion though. Its so that everything can scale to the new max level once the actual content is released.
