Unpopular opinion.
I actually enjoyed the movie. The weak part was the butchering of certain scenes which explained other parts of the movie and the weak sauce story telling on the alliance side.
Overall I liked the movie and would go and see Warcraft 2 if they ever make it.

As a 3D-Artist myself, I just say “if you think they look bad, go make a better model yourself” 
This kinda argument has been idiotic since the first guy came up with it and has been ever since. He doesnt “need to make a better job” to find the product ugly as f. At best that statement is showing that the artist in question is incapable of accepting criticism. Rather ask him what he finds ugly in particular instead of replying with this toddler response.
Let’s be fair, it is the only film in which I have seen a horse used as a throwing weapon…

Well, I didn’t made the models in the movie. But it is a fact that the work done there is still high quality, even if it doesn’t fit the “imagination how Draenei should look like” for everyone. The director at the set must have given it a “green go” if we have seen it in the movie.
See 3D-Art and Art in general like your favourite food. Just because others don’t like your favourite food doesn’t make it bad in any way.

Not going to debate that whether its high quality or not.
I mean that is irrelevant. There are even Uwe Boll movies that get a “green light” and those movies are all a meme in themselves because of how bad they are.
Doesnt matter. The message boils down to the same. He doesnt like the models and finds them ugly. Your question as an artist would also remain the same as in asking him what he finds ugly in particular if no example as to why was presented. If the tone of your audience is the one twisting your you know what then you have other issues and that particular career may not be the one you should pursue.
