Effect sounds won't stay low (audio settings)

Hello,

No matter how many times I reduce effect sounds in the audio settings—or even turn them off completely—they never stay low or muted. This persistent, long-standing issue is well-known, yet it seems to have been perpetually ignored.

For years, I’ve had to endure sudden, deafening LFG alarms and other horrendous sound effects that make gameplay unbearable at times. It’s appalling that a triple-A game company of your caliber has allowed this to go unfixed.

You continuously promote new packs and highlight accessibility features in your PR campaigns, yet fail to address fundamental issues like this one. It’s disheartening and feels like empty posturing. I hope there’s at least one responsible person on your team who will take this seriously, escalate it appropriately, and ensure it gets resolved—finally.

I have the exact same Problems. At first, I thought my Add-ons were doing something weird. But after uninstalling all of them, I still suffer from these Issues. Sometimes I forget to lower it before logging in, and my hunter’s pet bear’s roar almost takes my ears off…It would be rather nice if this Problem could finally be addressed.
