As the title says, I need some help. I’m relatively new to the Shaman , and I’m playing the Elemental spec. In terms of gear, I have everything maxed out for PvP except for one piece of the tier set. I’m doing quite well in Blitz Rated BGs (1580 raiting), but I constantly struggle with survivability, especially in 1v1 situations against other classes. I just feel like the Shaman can’t survive without a healer. Monks, Rogues, Mages, DH, Warriors, Locks, Priests—pretty much every class can defeat me 1v1 after I’ve used all my defensive spells.
For defensive spells, I use Astral Shift, Healing Stream Totem, Hex, Thunderstorm, Burrow, and Stone Bulwark Totem. I use everything I have, but almost every class with gear equal to mine beats me in 1v1 situations. Is this normal for a Shaman, or have I just not gathered enough practice yet?
Depends on the build bro. Do you play Farseer or Stormbringer? Farseer is definetely the way to go for Arenas but Stormbringer may work in BGs due to damage profile. Overall keep Earth Shield up and Healing Stream. Trade Astral Shift for the big CDs and Bullwark totem for something smaller. Also you can pair Ancestral Guidance with your damage CDs to heal more. On top of it utilize Frost Shock, Earthgrab Totem and Gust of Wind to get distance from meeles. I don’t play Burrow anymore myself but Shamanism, Totem of Wrath and Grounding. Poison Cleansing Totem is also good if enemy team has Assassination Rogues. I also play Dwarf so I can remove Feral bleeds on Incarn or Death Mark.
Of course I don’t need to add that binding everything will change a lot. Clicking is a big no in PvP.
Hey thank you for reply. I’m playing Farseer build Lava Burst / Earthshock proc . I did keybinding on start so that is something that is not problem. My burst rotation basically goes
1.Flame Shock
3. Fire Elemental
4. Ancestral Swiftness with Primordial Wave as macro
6. Lava Burst
7. Earth Shock
9.Earth Shock
10. Lava Burst
OFC I did not mention here Lava Burst with Lava Surge that procs from Primordial Surge or Icefury with emprowed Frosthock that I use instantly when it procs. I’m using HEX on Healer or enemy DPS if he is going to burst hard.
I did change character here on Forum so you can If you have time check my gear and talents. I also read Stormbringer is going to be nerfed a lot in upcoming patch so I’m not sure should I keep playing this rotation and learn it more or change . To be honest I’m playing Rated BG only for 1600 rating to get second tier piece then I’m going in 2v2 and 3v3.
My opener is Fire Ele (Flame Shocks last longer) then Flame Shock → Liquid Lava Totem → AS + Primordial → Ascendance → Spiritwalker’s Grace and then you pump as many LvB as possible. Of course try to weave Earth Shocks but if you get an Icefury proc it’s also worth Weaving into rotation. Overall it should be LvB → Earth Shock/Icefury/big Frost Shock (the one after Icefury). Your Ancestors will LvB no matter what you press.
Not really buddy ouch. I messed up too but less. Best embelishments are weapon with Darkmoon Sigil: Ascension and another item with Writhing Armor Banding preferably hands as they are the weakest. You also crafted chest
Shoulders are the best piece and that’s wher my mistake happened haha
Go balls deep Haste. Faster casts, globals etc. It’s more fun to play.
Well I will take shoulders and legs as 2 set bonus as I allready took legs I cant change. I crafted head and chest now I also cant change them as I dont have mats. Weapon and Shiled I wont buy as we are going to get both with 2500 conquest quest. So for now any sugestion what to change here? Maybe another greens or ?
Okay I did that but now I have to recraft helm and chest so I can equip mace and shiled. I wish I knew all this before It will be hard now to get weapon and shild as Epic craft
